Greetings :

This letter comes as a request for expedited service of the license amendment request to our NRC radioactive materials license #13-25975-01, submitted February 1 1,201 1, and assigned mail control number 574443. The following information is provided:

1. We were informed by the manufacturer that the (3) C0-60 rod sources to be used for exchange in our Berthold Model LB-3OOMLT level measurement gauges would ready to ship to the Nucor Steel - Crawfordsville Mill on April 15,201 1.

a. Under the current license condition, we are unable to receive the (3) new Co-60 sources, 36mCi each, without exceeding the current possession limit of 108 mCi.

Nucor will continue to operate in accordance with the license conditions and health physics procedures as previously issued and approved by your agency.
