The Town of Davie Parks and Recreation Department and Nova Southeastern Universi-
ty’s Sport and Recreation Department continue to work together to give students a variety
of experiences and in return the students are helping foster good things in our surround-
ing community. The 5th Annual James Prittle Golf Classic was held on February 24,
2017 to kick off the Orange Blossom Festival Weekend in Davie. The golf tournament
benefits the Summer Youth Golf Program at the Davie Golf and Country Club. Two of our
students, Lindsay Kahrs and Jason Swafford, volunteered to run the raffle both during the
pre-golf event and out on the course. Over $800 was raised for the Youth Golf Program.
Thank you to Dave Harris at the Davie Golf and Country Club for always including Nova
Southeastern University in his tournament plans.
