• This large purchasing power has the capacity to shape incentives and firm behaviour, and can be a significant ‘demand side’ source of growth in innovation.

• The responsibility for the South Australian Industry p y yParticipation Policy is now with the Office of the Industry Advocate (OIA)
• The threshold for when Industry Participation Plans form part of a tender has been reduced from $10 million to $4 p $ $million in metropolitan Adelaide and from $3 million to $1 million in regional areas
Connecting with Business
• In February the State Government approved a number of reforms that put a greater focus on employment, investment and supply-chain inputs - which are now a key part of economic the contribution evaluation of tenders.
• Industry Participation Plan weightings in the key categoriesof the economy: heavy and civil engineering construction;
