Novemeber Will Be an Exctitng Month in Dawson Creek! November may be cold, but that's no reason not enjoy your time in Dawson Creek. Yes, another winter is rolling in, but the coming month boasts a bevy of exciting activities for those who find themselves in our beautiful city. It all begins with the Mile Zero Challenge, on Saturday the 8th. The challenge is presented by the Dawson Creek Speedskating Club, and goes down at the Dawson Creek Memorial Arena. The event, which is free of charge, and just a stone's throw from our hotel, is sure to satisfy your need for speed! The action begins at 8:00am, and continues through till 5:00 pm. Come on down for a display of speed like no other. Later in the month, on Sunday the 16th, be sure to catch indie artist Devon Sproule at the DC Art Gallery. Born in Kingston, Ontario, Sproule's career has taken her all over the world and earned her ASCAP Foundation's prestigious Sammy Cahn Award (which has also been won by the likes of John Mayer and Josh Fritter). Now, she brings her folk-infused indie to this fine city. She'll be supported by local talent Parker Dean on what's certain to be a great night of music. Doors are at 6:30, and performances begin at 7:00. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Considering the gallery is just a short jaunt from our location, this is not an evening to miss!
