November 23, 2009 Dear Mantoloking Homeowners, I enclose our Borough Engineer’s report describing the condition of our dune system after the most recent northeaster last week. We are currently surveying the entire dune system to determine the most critical areas. The result of this survey map is available in Borough Hall for review. We will, with the Department of Public Works personnel and equipment, start repairing the most critical sections of our dune system as determined by the above survey as soon as there is sufficient sand on the berm to bulldoze. We expect that 2 to 3 pushes of sand will be required to restore our dunes to their Labor Day condition. This work will be at Borough expense. The dune system, though damaged, did its job. There was no breach in the Borough. If a breach does occur, and the berm has not improved, we’ll truck in sand to close the breach. Please call any council member or me if you have questions. Sincerely, George C. Nebel Mayor

November 23, 2009

Dear Mantoloking Homeowners,

I enclose our Borough Engineer’s report describing the condition of our dune system after the most recent northeaster last week.

If a breach

does occur, and the berm has not improved, we’ll truck in sand to close the breach. Please call any council member or me if you have questions.

Sincerely, George C. Nebel

Mayor
