answer: Actually, the holiday season is not such a bad time to enter the real estate market. Consider this ... those who are house hunting around the holidays are usually serious about buying. They’ve usually taken a bit of time off from work because of the holiday festivities, which allows them to shop around as a family.As a seller, because the holidays are quickly approaching (or are already here), you’ve devoted time to sprucing up your home inside and out, particularly if you have relatives coming for a visit. There’s also less inventory on the market during the holidays, meaning less competition and more exposure to buyers.

Obviously it depends on what you feel comfortable with during this time of the year. If you prefer not to have strangers viewing your home, then it may be best to wait until after the holidays, preferably when all of the decorations are packed away and life has returned to normal.
