Note:
People who use the Medicare Plan Finder tool at www.Medicare.gov should know that this year plans are allowed to make daily updates to drug prices. Since the launch of Medicare Open Enrollment on October 15, staff have noticed an alarming instability in the prices of drugs. This has not been the case in previ-ous years. Staff are seeing significant changes in drug prices from day to day that can rep-resent thousands of dollars in price discrepancies for the consumer. This also changes the order of the plan listings on the Medicare website (least expensive to most expensive) on almost a daily basis. The Senior LinkAge Line does not recommend that you delay your plan enroll-ment due to this issue. But we do encourage you to the call the plan before you enroll to make sure the pricing information in the tool is accurate. To report prob-lems or issues with the Medicare Plan Finder tool, call Medicare at 1-800-Medicare.

looking unlikely, as most of the participating units have

Perhaps it’s you, someone you love, or a
dear friend. As the COVID-19 pandemic
drags on, and especially as the holidays
draw near, people are feeling lonely and de-
pressed. We want to help! The Community
and Seniors Together (CAST) organization is
creating a new program called CAST Con-
nection to reach out to Seniors in need
with a phone call, letter, or socially-distant
visit. No charge. No obligation. Just a caring,
personal contact during these unprecedented
times.
Would you, or someone you know, like to be
contacted? Or perhaps you’d like to volunteer
to reach out to those in need?
Please call us at 507-354-3212 (leave mes-
sage), email us at [email protected], or
drop us a note at CAST, 600 N. German St,

This Week’s Free Movie from Open Culture
A reporter (Barbara Stanwyck) writes a fictitious column about someone
named "John Doe," who is distraught at America's neglect of the little
people and plans to kill himself. The newspaper then hires a ballplayer-
turned-hobo (Gary Cooper) to pose as John Doe. In a series of radio
addresses written by a publisher with fascist leanings, Doe captures the
public's imagination. When he finally realizes he has been used, Doe
comes to his senses and becomes the man he never knew he could be.
