New Functionality in Release 3.0 support pack 01:
Managing Cost Accruals
Steps performed at that point: - planned MATERIALS on WBS for 470,000 USD - raised PO for the total amount of 300,000 USD - Posted GR/IR for the amount of 30,000 USD At this point we know that additional services were provided (or materials were delivered) for the amount of 15,000 USD, but our Supplier has not sent us the latest invoice.
Managing Cost Accruals
Select Costing line with MATERIALs, switch to change mode and click on Detailed Forecasting
Managing Cost Accruals
In detailed view we can see that we have ordered “Structural Steel” Based on the currently processed invoices, our PO is 10% complete
We can see Actual costs by PO and its remaining (to be invoiced) value If you double click on PO number, you will drill down into PO item view from that screen
Managing Cost Accruals
You can enter amount (yet to be invoiced) into the “PO Accrued O/Cur” (object currency) Or you can enter “Value of Work Done” as a percentage, system will automatically calculate “PO Accrued O/Cur” value
Managing Cost Accruals
When finished click “Confirm”
Managing Cost Accruals
The Accrued Cost amount is copied into the aggregated view from Detailed Forecasting This Value will be saved in PS Info System Note. You don’t have to use “Detailed Forecasting”. You can enter value of accrued costs in “Forecast” tab
Managing Cost Accruals
From the Workbench you can go to PS Hierarchy reports
Managing Cost Accruals
This hierarchy report is delivered with Noveco ePM package
Managing Cost Accruals
Cost Accruals appear in PS report
Now you can report on total value of Accrued Costs for all your projects for a specific Period (in our case it was June 2015) !!! IDEA: If your Finance Dept. needs to see this amount in P&L report for the reported month you can make a journal posting to a special GL account crediting a special “Accrual” Internal Order. This way you leave project costs out of accrual postings and reversals cycle made by the finance.
Managing Cost Accruals
Accrual Costs will be automatically reduced next time the Invoice for our Purchase Order is posted
Managing Cost Accruals
We post GR and IR for the amount of 15,000 USD for our PO
Managing Cost Accruals
When Project forecasts are recalculated (click “Refresh”) the Accrued Cost is reduced automatically In our example they are wiped out to zero by actual costs
