When Judge Ruth Neely in Pinedale, Wyoming, was casually asked by a reporter if she was excited to perform same-sex weddings, she replied that she had not yet been asked to do one but would be unable to because of her Biblical beliefs about marriage. For her, this casually stated conviction was the beginning of a nightmare.

Her statement was published in a local paper. It was seen by the Wyoming Commission on Judicial Conduct and Ethics, which recommended that she be fined $40,000 and fired from two judicial positions.

The case ended up in the Wyoming Supreme Court who ruled to not fire her but added a reprimand that she must “either commit to performing marriages regardless of the couple’s sexual orientation, or cease performing all marriage ceremonies.”

over the past few years, of bakers, florists, printers, and photographers who have faced financial ruin for standing on their faith. Finally, the new U.S. Attorney General has issued instructions to all government departments that “Except in the narrowest circumstances, no one should be forced to choose between living out his or her faith and complying with the law.”

This is the foundation directive for providing “sweeping protections for faith-based beliefs and practices in private workplaces, at government jobs and even in prisons,” according to the Associated Press. A pivotal case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court called Masterpiece Cakeshop v Colorado Civil Rights Commission. It is being watched closely and one commentator likened its importance to that of the watershed Roe v Wade case on abortion.

Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, refused to provide a cake for a same-sex wedding. The clients filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission who found Phillips in violation of the state’s public accommodations law which prohibits “discriminating” against customers on the basis of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

He was ordered to not only provide cakes for the same-sex wedding, but undergo “comprehensive staff training” and report quarterly for two years of steps taken in compliance and whether he had turned away any prospective customers.

The case ultimately became a test case accepted by the U.S. Supreme Court for a 2017 decision. Many other state and local courts are anticipating the ruling for guidance in their own jurisdictions.

This is only one aspect of the Obergefell v Hodges ruling last year legalizing same-sex marriage in all states.

Prior to that was the Lawrence v Texas ruling in 2003 striking down all laws against the sin of sodomy.

In all these cases, the courts have not considered the aggressive nature of the homosexual activists. Today they are no different than the ones at Lot’s door demanding to “know” the angels. They will not stop until the rest of the world claps in admiration of their lifestyle.

The lesson for soul winners is that no government can control sin. When they try, freedom is the first casualty. Today, we are watching a futile effort by policy makers to do what only the gospel can accomplish. Those who scoff at the Bible believe that man is evil because of outside forces. But the Bible points to the wickedness of the human heart. Only a revival can fix America, by regenerating the hearts of the people.

Romans 10:14 says that unbelievers cannot believe without hearing. And “…how shall they hear without a preacher?” Few of us have a gift for “preaching,” but Chick Publications provides many little paper “preachers,” patiently waiting for someone to read and “hear.” The gospel message in the tract that we put in an unbeliever’s hand is an excellent way for any of us to seriously affect the rising sin around us.

But, at the same time, we need to earnestly pray for those who are fighting to keep the policies in place that protect our freedom to share the wonderful good news.

What he discovered exposes how deeply Satan’s claws have penetrated our modern education system.

Dedicated sinners need a system of lies to believe when they choose to resist God’s truth. Evolution is one of these lies, and is the godfather of many others. As these lies burrow deeper into our culture, the very foundations of civil society begin to crumble.

Evolutionists distinguish between what they call “microevolution” and “macroevolution.” Microevolution is changes within a species such as the difference between Chihuahuas and Great Danes. Still, all dogs have the same organ system. But when macroevolution claims for worms to become lizards, a whole different digestive system is required. And lizards to eagles is another impossible leap for which no proof exists.

Tour agrees that microevolution is common, sometimes helped along by plant and animal breeding to enhance the desired characteristics. But, as he questioned colleagues in his rarified academic atmosphere, he concluded that there is no scientist alive today who understands macroevolution.

Professor Tour went so far as to offer on his website to buy lunch for anyone who claimed to understand macroevolution so they could explain it to him. So far he has no takers.

At one point The Atheist Society accepted his challenge and published to their members the offer. They even offered to fund the lunch. To date “Nobody has come!” says Tour.

When he polled many of his peers in Physics and Chemistry departments, he had to do it in private because they dared not publically admit any skepticism on

the subject. So powerful are the politics of the universities that job security depends on staunchly carrying the Evolution banner.

Tour admits that he now advises some of his students: “If you disagree with Darwinian Theory, keep it to yourselves if you value your careers.”

This is only one illustration how far our schools have come from institutions of “learning,” to propaganda mills indoctrinating impressionable, trusting students with Satan’s backpack full of lies.

Our churches must take primary responsibility for sleeping through the destruction of marriage by the sexual revolution, the intoxication of prosperity, the takeover of government by godless socialism, and the humanist corruption of our schools and universities. Each of these errors is based on one or more of Satan’s lies.

Bible believers must recognize that this is just part of the ongoing war between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness in the last days. We must suit up for the battle, strengthen our own troops with heavy doses of the Truth, and circle the wagons around those who are young in the Lord, especially our children.

Why Don’t They Make a Sinaiticus Bible?

If you go online, you can Google “World’s oldest Bible.” What will pop up? “Codex Sinaiticus” just like I was taught in Bible college in the early 1980s. Since then I searched for decades for a copy of this “world’s oldest Bible” —Codex Sinaiticus. Most books actually only showed me one single page of Sinaiticus —John 21.

But in 2009, Codex Sinaiticus came online with high-quality photographs available on codexsinaiticus.org. I have learned way more by examining it for myself than all the lectures, legends and lies I have heard about it from professors, preachers and book authors.

Let’s consider a fun question. Never mind that Codex Sinaiticus is the most accepted, but never actually scientifically tested book in history. Why don’t we see a Bible based solely upon the Sinaiticus?

Let me tell you why you haven’t, and probably never will, see one. When we See Sinaiticus Bible... p. 14

finally got a look at the whole Codex Sinaiticus, we find that it is missing 12 entire books and most of 6 more. That’s over one fourth of the 66 Bible books, more than a third of the 39 Old Testament books.

But in addition, it has six books of the Apocrypha folktales. The reality is, we just don’t have enough to make a real Old Testament. So much for that idea.

But what about the New Testament? “Aha!” says the New Testament scholar. “The Sinaiticus has an absolutely complete New Testament!” Great! So why don’t we have a Sinaiticus New Testament?

There are a few reasons. How about Luke 1:26? The King James reads simply: “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,” Mary and Joseph are from Nazareth, in Galilee. Everybody knows that except the Sinaiticus. The Sinaiticus reads “Eis polin tis Ioudaias

War Over Transgenders Heats UpThe new U.S. president’s administration

is beginning to put a few boulders in the formerly smooth road of the homosexual steam roller. The Department of Justice just rescinded the orders for special treatment for transgenders in the workplace. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act had been interpreted to require the same “non-discrimination” is given to black people and women. This interpretation was what gave men who posed as women access to women’s bathrooms, changing rooms and positions on women’s sport teams.

The new President previously ordered the elimination of the confusion in the military caused by accepting transgenders that required special privacy arrangements and paying for sex reassignment surgeries.

to rise in defense of their grade-schoolers being exposed to transgender propaganda. California, of course, leads the way with a charter school in Rocklin, California. A teacher first read a couple of books about transgenders to her kindergarten class. Then one of the boys in the class, whose parents had decided that he was really a girl in a boy’s body, went into the bathroom for a few minutes and then “came out” to the class dressed as a girl. The teacher introduced “her” to the class with “her” new girl’s name.

Another student was later sent to the principal’s office to explain her “pronoun mishap” for accidentally referring to the “new” girl with a masculine pronoun. Parents were outraged when their

It Worked! David Got the Gospel!By Chad Bernick

Chad Bernick and his family are missionaries in Wainwright, on Alaska’s far North Slope. He grew up on Chick tracts and relates an early experience being a soulwinner.

My mother led me to Christ on November 4, 1988 at the age of six years old. Around that time, she also introduced me to Chick tracts. I began reading them avidly and started learning Bible truth at an accelerated rate. Those little comics helped to inoculate me against the deceptions of our present age. I also received a burden for lost souls that I have never been able to totally shake by the grace of God.

The day after I got saved, I tried to win my best friend to Christ. His name was Brad. I brought my pocket New Testament with me even though I didn’t know any verses. I recognized the Authority of the Book from the beginning and knew it was needful to be able to reference the source of my new-found faith in Jesus.

I coerced Brad and led him in a sort-of forced sinner’s prayer with the threat that “I can’t be your best friend, if you don’t get saved.” In my mind, I wouldn’t be able to long continue being close to

someone that was headed for hell. The Holy Spirit had already impressed the truth of Amos 3:3 in my heart. “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” I don’t know if Brad got born again that day, but I would later give him Chick tracts with a desire to see that his salvation was made sure.

In school, I tried to be very obedient to my teachers. I wanted to stay out of trouble and tended to be very shy, but conviction over my lost classmates weighed heavy on me at times.

I finally got up the courage to hide a tract in a friend’s backpack. The boy’s name was David and he had a blue backpack hanging on the hooks where all the children’s gear was kept. I noticed David’s backpack was unzipped. I placed a Chick tract inside when I thought no one was looking. At the end of the day in that second-grade classroom, everyone went for their things and started to get ready to go.

I heard David cry out, “Teacher! Teacher! I found something in my bag that’s not mine!” He ran to her and handed our teacher the Chick tract. She

War Over Transgenders...kindergarteners came home in confusion.

One little girl was in tears fearing that she might accidentally turn into a boy.

When questioned, school officials claimed that they were not required to notify parents beforehand because it was part of a lesson in diversity, not sex education.

The Heritage Oak Private School in Southern California is being sued for discrimination by the parents of a child who had transitioned from boy to girl. The school administration is charged with refusing to provide proper accommodations. One of the parents of the boy-become-girl is a professor of feminist, transgender, and queer theory at UC Irvine, which hosts a “gender identity clinic’ as part of its UC Irvine Pediatric Gender Diversity Program.

One writer pointed out that so much in our culture is based on the male-female framework. Instead of the change adapting to the environment, everything has to change to accommodate the gender confused: bathrooms, dress codes, sports categories, application forms, —even pronouns! It, instead, forces almost a complete rearrangement of society.

No wonder God calls it an “abomination!”

“While Americans are still debating whether transgender ideology is harmful to children, the right of every other parent to raise their child without exposure to this ideology should not be up for debate,” writes Anna Anderson in The National Pulse.

Alerted parents and some legislators are pushing back against this confusion. The Texas legislature was besieged all summer over an attempt to protect the right of privacy in the state’s bathrooms and changing rooms. Included was a clause to keep husky males from joining girl’s sports teams. Recently, broken bones have been reported by girls pitted against much

stronger male-bodied opponents. Texans were attempting to become the

second state after North Carolina with laws protecting ladies in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the lawmakers went home without voting the law into force.

Behind God’s emphasis on sexual purity is a deep concern for child welfare. God hates these experiments in rearranging gender because of how it hurts the children.

Many adults are also confused because little is done today to spread the truth. Satan has flooded the world with counterfeit Bibles, disparaging the one which faithfully preserves God’s words.

However, they will read a gospel tract with an engaging story and a no-nonsense message.

“Whose little book is this!” the teacher said lifting her voice. She wasn’t angry. David wasn’t angry. The whole attitude was simply that something was out of place. I remember thinking, “Oh, well. I might as well admit it.” I raised my hand and said, “It’s mine. I put it there, but I wanted David to have it. It’s from me.”

The teacher turned to David, “Well, do you want it?” He said, “Oh, ok. Thanks!” At that moment, the class went back to getting ready to go home like nothing had happened. I learned an important lesson that day.

People generally weren’t going to be as shy about receiving tracts as I was about giving them out. I had nothing to lose by trying! It worked! David got the gospel!

Missions Fund ReportChina – The Chinese government is

cracking down on believers but it is still possible to get tracts in but only in strict secrecy. One 20,000-tract shipment was recently funneled into that pipeline. For obvious reasons, we cannot provide details.

One “back door” to China is Hong Kong. 90,000 tracts just arrived in Hong Kong for work among the tourists there. We have worked with these people before and many of the tracts end up in areas that are closed to Christian workers. It’s a great opportunity! Again, their names are withheld for their safety.

Colombia – Missionary Don Cross (BMFP) writes: “Yessiree, the tracts were and are a Blessing! July 20 is Independence Day in Colombia. We were able to plant 555 of these Chick Gospel tracts into receptive hands. Additionally on a day-to-day basis we hand distribute: neighborhoods, tiendas(stores), taxis, or just out on the street. One last thing, I enjoy cycling and do so 2-3x/wk. Wherever I stop for water, juice or bananas I converse in my broken Spanish with small groups and they readily receive these tracts!”

India – The 350,000 tracts printed for Missionary Kathy Smith and the Independent Church of India have all been completed. They are now in these workers’ hands. We look forward to hearing from them about what the Lord does with this seed.

In another part of India, 20,000 tracts went to Lordson Roch who wrote: “Thousands of gospel tracts distributed in less than 90 min at Goa Carnival festival.”

He and his team are real workers, committed to mass literature outreach to make a difference in their town. He told us, “We have been passing out 30,000 gospel tracts every three months!!! I can’t

Mexico – Mike Wallace writes: “There were many saved in Mexico City and part of the reason was the gospel presented so well in the Chick tracts.”

Special note: Fox news is reporting that several countries in Africa are suffering from severe drought. They reported that 11 million are facing food shortages and

1.6 million are on the edge of famine.

There are still hundreds of thousands of “traditional healers” in the countries and some are recommending child sacrifice to placate the gods who are supposedly holding back the rain. Gruesome corpses of children have been found missing teeth, facial features, and even genitals.

Authorities are trying to clamp down on the practice. One witchdoctor was given a life sentence for killing a 7-year-old girl by draining her blood and removing her genitals. He also cut the neck to spill the blood of her 10-year-old brother. Children who survive are often missing body parts.

Missionaries like Joetta Smith and Bill Eubanks have funneled hundreds of thousands of Chick tracts into the African continent, but there is still much more to be done. Even Sunday school kids know that’s wrong! But Tischendorf didn’t admit it. Not even in a note.

Let’s kick it up a bit. John 7:53 to 8:11, the story of the Jesus and the woman caught in adultery, is completely missing from Sinaiticus as well as Mark 16:9-20.

What about the important words of Luke 24:51? “And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.” The words, “And [was] carried up into heaven” are actually not in the original Sinaiticus.

That means that there is no mention of Jesus’ bodily resurrection in the Sinaiticus Gospels at all, Mark 16 or Luke 24. So the only mention in Sinaiticus of Jesus’ bodily ascension into heaven is in Acts 1, verses 2, 10 and 11. Scholars have used this to argue that Jesus didn’t actually ascend at all, but that these verses were added to the Gospels later.

Then Sinaiticus Mark 1:1 doesn’t say Jesus was “the Son of God.” So Bible “scholars” propagate the lie that Jesus was only a man, but God adopted Him at His water baptism.

As you can see, a Bible based solely on the “oldest and best” Sinaiticus would be missing some serious stuff. No wonder your local LifeWay Christian bookstore doesn’t sell one.

Modern research proves that Codex Sinaiticus is a FAKE, and a FRAUD. Over the past year I’ve learned that it was actually created between 1839-1840, and it was probably edited up through 1843. And remember, when you hand out a Chick tract you can be confident that the scriptures in it are from the preserved scriptures in English, the Authorized King James Bible.

“Several years ago while I was at home there was a knock at the front door. Upon answering it I was dismayed to see an unkempt and sullen looking girl of about 18 years old standing there. With no manners at all she more or less demanded to use the bathroom. As one of my daughters was in the house, I reluctantly let the girl in and asked my daughter to keep an eye on her.

When she came out I felt pity for her. As she looked so forlorn, I asked her outright, “Why are you so sad?” To make her feel at home I offered her a drink. She accepted the invite and it was then that I realized that she had a can of paint up the sleeve of her baggy cardigan. This was a glue-sniffing street kid I had in my kitchen! She used it all the time she was with us. I did not forbid her to, as this would have driven her away.

I was so overcome with pity that I wanted to cry for this poor child. The only one I could think of that could ease her pain was Jesus, so I brought out one of your tracts for her, Somebody Loves Me. She never got past the front cover, because every time she read the title she burst into heavy sobbing, tears streaming down her cheeks.

She knew who loved her —Jesus! She left here with new clothes, a Chick tract and a smile on her face.”

Brothers and sisters in Christ,

Jack Chick was no theologian. He openly stated that. In fact, he used

to say, “When theologians and people with doctorates come over, I want

to hide underneath my desk!” Jack said what he meant, and meant what

he said. He never tried to state things that were complicated, because he

was not a complicated guy.

That is why Chick tracts are so simple. They are a tool we can use to

show people they need Christ. We get flack from “armchair theologians”

who are not happy with using a few words to state spiritual truths. They

want to use big words. Or they would be happy to supply us with 75

words in place of the 8 we have in a sentence. (Try to fit that in a 3”x5”

tract)

But we’re not writing for theologians. We are writing for ordinary

people. That’s why Jack said, “We are all the same: sinners in desperate

need of a Saviour.”

So the theologians can theologize. The PhDs can “Pile it Higher and

Deeper.” But we preach Christ crucified, buried and risen again, and that

faith in His shed blood will make the difference between heaven and hell

—an eternity of difference. As God inspired Paul to write:

“But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh

by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)

Forty five years ago a man gave me a tract I actually read . . . a Chick

tract. And then he had the courage to go through it with me. You already

know what happened. . . I found Christ! Chick tracts could be just what

God will use to grow your personal ministry. I hope that the new tract,

God’s Little Angel, with its simple message will help you reach the

frustrated people you meet.

God bless you as you leave tracts wherever you go. You just never

know where they will end up! And you know they will get read!
