TRANSCRIPT

To whom it may concern,
In regards to Ms. Brenda Souder request for a permit to keep 10 dogs at her home. The original agreement between Ms. Souder and The Board of Supervisor was she was allowed to keep 10 dogs (max at the time) and any and all pippies up to the age of four months (as that was also her original request for puppie mill).
She also told at the time, she is not allowed to replace any of the mature dogs as they died off. It appears she has given up the puppie mill business as she has removed all signs from her car as she once had.
I do not know the number of dogs she presently has, but I feel the Board has a responsibility to address these questions before a decision can be made.
In conclusion, I have never apporved of the situation but I was forced to accept it by.The Board,s original decision.
Respectfully,

Mr. Jarvis,
Thank you for the information. The P & Z Commission will be meeting today on this item. I am forwarding it to John Montgomery.
>>> "Arizona Cowboy" [email protected]> 11/11/2008 1:26 PM >>> Hi June,
I am emailing you about Brenda Souder at 899 S. Liana PI., Golden Valley. I was just talking to her other neighbors Kim and Mike who live on the other side on Lgurta Rd. They said that a truck came and unloaded a lot of stuff into her garage in August. With her house up for sale she should not be bring more stuff in. She had said to me once that she was going to let someone use her garage. We don 4 know if she is gettlng money for it or not but with her histow of renting that garage out we can 4 see her not getting money for it Sorry it is so late ktting you know about it.

From: "Kat Brodskf <[email protected]> To: [email protected]~ Date: 11/11/2008 10:12:20 AM Subject: Parcel 153; Minor Amendment to General Plan
Dear Planning 8 Zoning:
I am a properly owner within one-half mile of Parcel 153, which is coming up for REZONE hearing tomorrow.
I had planned to attend tomorrow's P&Z meeting, but have been called out of town and am not able to attend. Please include my comments below in the P8Z Commission's notes.
MY COMMENTS RE: PARCEL 153 RE-ZONE TO UDA, GC 8 L-I8 C-2 8 C-MO:
I have been a resident and properly owner in Golden Valley for 25 years. I also own property with one-half mile of Parcel 153.
A commerciallretail center and services on Aztec Rd. in Golden Valley (Parcel 153) would be a GREAT BENEFIT to ALL residents of Golden Valley. The majority of residents in Golden Valley have for many years longed for more "responsible" services to benefit h e greater majority of citizens.
More commerciallretail businesses would benefit the overall economy in the area with jobs and the services they bring. With the proximity to the Pmvada Development, this commercial center is NEEDED and will be of great benefit to the entire area.
Another benefit would also be realized in savings on fuel consumption by have more services nearby. This too would improve our air quality.
All in all, the Golden Valley area NEEDS more responsible retail and commercial services and those can not come without the proper zoning. There is a scarcity of commercially zoned property and we need more.
Please approve this Re-Zoning.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for you recent inquiries about possible annexation into the Fire District.
Researching your location shows your property to be located three sections south of the present border of the district.
Annexation requires, properties to be continuous, 50% of the property owners signatures on a petition, as well as an impact statement. There are 18 sections in your township which were not in the original annex.
It would only require those sections which are in direct line and adjacent to your property signatures which would narrow it down a little.
The Fire District is always willing to assist in annexation however the more the property is broken up the more difficult it is in locating and getting signatures.
Desert Hills Fire District is also south and east of your location about 3 miles, however there is no road access from that area.
We are aware of other areas which have expressed an interest in annexation , so we will be contacting them to check there progress.
Again thank you for the inquiry and we will work on it from this end also.

Hello Sylvia, This letter is to inform you as to the current situation regarding the process to annex my project "The Last Lap Race Place LLC" Tract 3831 subdivision into the Yucca Fire Dept. District.
- After discussions regarding my Plat in late August, I was in favor of the annexation. It seemed like a good addition to the subdivision even though it was not required, my property has water, and the State Fire Marshall supplied a letter as per the request from P&Z. As you know my initial contact with the Fire Chief Jimmy Lee Todd at the beginning of September was favorable. In the first conversation I was told that it was not a difficult process but somewhat time consuming on his part. At that time, the letter that arrived after a 2 week waiting period seemed somewhat clouded. After reviewing the letter several times, the result was that the letter did not exactly address what was needed. I decided to pursue and request another letter as an update. So now to date, after 2 requests by email and 2 requests by phone, I still have not received the requested update and my opinion has now changed that this is not a feasible addition to my subdivision. The major reason now is that within those conversations and emails, I have been told, that it could
,, possibly take 1 to 2 years to complete the annexation! This would create a major delay for the recordation of the projects Final Plat, which would mean, without a doubt, failure to my project! So, based on these new facts and actions, I respectfully request that the condition of annexation to the Yucca Fire District for a recorded Plat be removed from my submission. Thank you and Sincerely, Randy Lyles
