Almost There!
It has been an amazing month as we have watched God work both in our
lives and in the realization of this new ministry in Namibia. In addition to the
overall vision, He has been bringing further clarification, confirmation and
opportunities.
First of all, God has answered our prayers for visas through a partnership
with a primary school in the capital city of Windhoek. This partnership also
provides a better picture of what our work will look like in the first two years of
our ministry. We are very excited about this great opportunity and will bring you
more information about Community Hope School, and our work with them, in
the next edition of our newsletter.
We also have a better idea of when we will begin. Lord willing, we will
depart for Namibia in March of 2010. That is only four months away! In fact, it is
our hope to be able to purchase airplane tickets by the end of December.
Our financial situation is becoming clearer as well. Although we still need
a total of $3,000 monthly, we only need to reach a minimum of $2,500 in
monthly support before we can depart. We are well within reach of that goal,
needing just another $525 of monthly commitments.
God is good and He wants to see this broken world reached with the
healing message of His Gospel. He is active in seeing this mission fulfilled and it
has been our joy to witness Him preparing the way for our work in Namibia.
Please continue to pray with us so the pieces will continue to fall into place!
With His Love,
David & Sandy Echols

Team News
e have an exciting announcement about
our team. Adam and Sara welcomed a healthy baby girl on November 4th. Her name is Samantha Joy and she has been nothing but a joy, both to her parents and to our team as a whole. It is exciting to have her as part of our team; she will open many doors while we are in Namibia. Sara will now be able to relate to mothers in a way that none of us could before. This will be especially helpful as we work with young children and their families at Community Hope School.
NMC
uring the weekend before Thanksgiving we
attended the annual National Missionary Convention in Peoria, IL. This year we attended workshops relating to missions in urban poor areas. We also further forged contacts with missionaries in Southern Africa. At the final session on Sunday morning the speaker brought a message about the Love of God. In it he focused on the broken world and the sacrifice of Christ for it. His
passion for the gospel message was infectious, and further reminded us of the need that is out there. It was a great convention and we were blessed by the opportunity to attend.
Support
s mentioned on the front of this newsletter we are
currently in need of $525 in monthly commitments before we can leave for Namibia. If the idea of a monthly commitment seems daunting to you, you may consider an annual gift. A yearly one-time gift of $300, breaks down to $25 dollars a month, and a gift of $600 dollars would support us $50 a month. In raising support we have learned a precious lesson in building a strong team in the USA. We have realized that our supporters are as much a part of our team as those who get to go to Namibia. The prayers, money, love and support that we have received from our supporters is indispensable. Thank you for all your support!
