Careful planning  and  good business development have

placed LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN in a strong position to meet current challenges and secure a strangle hold  on  the  core business of anilox manufacturing, hardface coatings and   laser   engraving. The acquisition of multi-million dollar equipment is a factor, however the driving force has been,  and    always will  be, for LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN to be leaders in the field. This mindset is evident throughout the plant.

LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN’s latest laser engraving technology is unique to printing and currently the only one of it’s kind in the world. Custom made with 3 main benefits to the printer, it

delivers in spades.

Justin Holland  of  LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN explains;

The laser itself has a wide range of benefits from quicker engraving times to more control over the cell geometry. However the main benefits to the printer are:

1. We can achieve even tighter tolerances with regards to screen count, angle and volume.  2.  A more homogenous engraving both circumferentially and axially allowing for greater  consist-ency and repeatability.

3.  And as a result of the firsttwo benefits the anilox is harder

wearing. This is why LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN chose the uniquely engineered laser to deliver these specific  requirements. Proof of this technology can only be measured by it’s results and this is quite evident in the accept-ance of the technololgy by some of the regions major printers.

> State of the art Thermal Spraying Technology

LASERLIFE LITTLEJOHN are proud to announce that we

are the only company in Australia with the new “Triplex” state of the art Atmospheric Plasma Spray Solution. What we consider to be the most versitile thermal coating process, plasma spray produces high performance coatings with unbelievable durability & reli-ability. Using optimum materials with our new state of the art technology there is no wonder

we can achieve what we consider perfect coatings.

Our Atmospheric Plasma Spray (APS) process can apply the widest variety of coating materi-als, by far, of any thermal spray process for an unlimited number of applications on metallic sub-strates. Performing where other processes cannot.

With the Polymount plate cleaner you can fully,

automatically clean dirty printing plates. The plate cleaner flushes, brushes and dries the plates, resulting in a perfectly clean plate surface. With the unique (Twinlock) sticky plate system, plates are held firmly in place

during washing and drying . The cleaning process completes the cycle of 1m2 in approximately 5-10 minutes After washing the plates can be stored immediately. All you do is hit a button and your plates are cleaned automatically.

> Benton Graphics Blades

As the agent for Benton Graphics, We offers a com-

plete line of steel doctor blades for Gravure and Flexographic printing industry. Benton Graphics is still the only manufacturer to offer a lamella or bevelled edge blade without grinding.

Benton Graphics has been making steel doctor blades for over 30 years. They begin by using only the finest steel available. This steel is then subjected to a stringent set of quality standards to ensure that the best blades possible can

be produced. Only then does the material get the OK for production.

They offer several different types of steels to best suit your applica-tion. We offer white (or bright) carbon steel, stainless steel, the specialty alloy GET, Gold Steel Alloy, Blue Carbon Steel, and our own specialty steel, Microloy®. The resulting doctor blades are some of the finest available for the Gravure, Flexo, and Pad Printing industries.

Flexo Plate-II-Print completes the package of measuring devices for the flexographic market. The compact instrument gives the flexographic printer a fast and simple way of checking screen angles, dot size, and screen count. This means that the printer can check the critical details of a plate in just a few minutes – even while it is on the press if necessary.

> Troika Announces Launch of Flexo Plate-II-Print

The hand held Flexo Plate-II-Print is an

inexpensive tool for flexo-graphic printers to check both plate quality and print quality quickly and efficiently. This latest intro-duction completes a trilogy of quality control products designed and manufac-tured by Troika Systems for the flexographic sector of the printing industry. It joins the FlexoCAM – a high-quality instrument for checking the fine detail of a flexographic plate – and the AniCAM – a quality control instrument for measuring the volume of cells on anilox cylinders.
