What is the CAS Test? qChip Adherence Stability Test • Adhesion test designed to evaluate surface treatment materials • Accounting for both substrates (i.e. the aged road surface and the chip) as well as the adhesive • Providing control over materials, environment, loading geometry, intensity and rate • Providing a quantitative measure of adhesion with respect to temperature and stress rate
ØThree Critical Parts of Adhesive Joint

• Output Data that the CAS Test Can Provide • Quantitative Measure of Adhesion Relative to Temperature
and Stress Rate • Elastic Limit • Ductile Brittle Transition Temperature • Tensile Creep Compliance • Various Modulus Values
