Night of the Notables Text Features Poster

MONDAY - VENN DIAGRAM

Task You will compare your notable with another notable person. Please look at the example I made on the left. I have compared Serena Williams to Michael Jordon.

• At least 3 things in each section of the Venn Diagram

• Notice how the blue difference in Serena Williams’ section is related to the difference on MJ’s side. Notice how to magenta difference on Serena’s side is related to the magenta difference on MJ’s side, and so on.

• Make sure your Venn follows the same format.

Need to print stuff? Reminder, if you need to print anything and you

can’t print at home, please just let me know, email me the stuff, I’ll print it at school and leave it outside for you

to pick up.

TUESDAY - TIMELINE

Task You will create a timeline for your notable. It doesn’t need to be a timeline of their entire life. If could be a timeline of a part of their life, or a timeline of the most important events in their life. You need to include at least 5 different events on your timeline and a title. Feel free to add more if you’d like. You can do this on the computer, or do it by hand very neatly.

WEDNESDAY – PICTURES AND INTERESTING INFO

Task Find 3 pictures and create a caption for each picture. Your caption should give detail about what is happening in the photo. The caption should not just one sentence. Task Create an interesting information fact box that includes at least 4 interesting facts about your notable.

THURSDAY – ADDITIONAL TEXT FEATURES

FRIDAY – PUT POSTER TOGETHER

Task Include at least 1 more extra text feature. I’ve chosen to add Glossary and a Graph. Here are a list of possible extra text features you could add: -Glossary -Graph -Map with a description -Diagram -Table

Task Put all the text features together on large paper.
