Norwegian Glacier Water Project

Objective: To establish bottling plants in variouscountries that have limited supplies of ground water, shipping the water in tanker ships from our port atOdda, Hardanger, Norway.

The Hardanger Fjord and Folgefonna Glacier

Page 4: Norwegian Glacier Water Projectwaterbrokerinternational.com/images/presentation1.pdf · The Project To build a water bottling plant in the region using pure glacier drinking water

Our water originates from the Folgefonna glacier, from where it is piped intospecially cleaned stainless steel tanker ships from 30,000 to 150,000 dwt.

Guaranteed Water Quality

The quality of water from the Folgefonna glacier will beguaranteed as first class drinking water with full analysis ofthe quality, at the loading stage, during the voyage and onarrival at the destination.

Guaranteed Water Supply

A contract guaranteeing the supply of water with automaticrenewal at the end of each agreed period will be given.

Bottling Facilities Experts

Our project team will include experts in theestablishment of bottling facilities and in thestrategic storage of bulk water. These experts willbe involved from the outset in the building of thebottling plant(s).

Presentation to Potential Investors

Potential investors will be given a PowerPointpresentation covering all aspects of establishing abottling plant(s) in the region concerned.

Production Cost

The estimated approximate production cost is betweenUSD 0.12 and USD 0.18 per litre bottle of water, includingshipping and bottling before any import tax and financecosts. Even if tax is paid on the bulk water cost thecost-per-litre will be negligible and have no bearing onsale-price per bottle; if import tax is paid after bottling(which is unlikely) our water will still remain the mostcompetitive available for the quality of the product.

Bottling Plant Requirements

There will need to be a factory large enough to accomodate3 bottling lines, 2 preform blowing machines, a combi-Europabottling facility, with lines fully automated for bottling, labelling, packing, palletising and shrink-wrapping. Watergoes in one end and a box or shrink-wrapped pack of bottlescomes out of the other, automatically palletised ready forshipping.

Bottling Plant Requirements

A machine capable of bottling 40,000 bottles per hour would berequired, which, with 3 shifts per day, would produce 200 to 300million bottles per year. The factory would require room forexpansion and the site would need storage buildings for finishedstock. Most importantly, underground steel storage tanks wouldbe required to hold one month or more’s supply of water, and ofcourse a laboratory would be required.

Perceived Benefit

This is a way of offering extremely high quality, lowcost water to the market without:

(a ) taking billions of gallons of ground water fromvillages with limited water supplies, or,

(b) having to build and operate extremely expensivedesalinisation plants which, despite the considerabletechnology involved, produce less satisfactory resultsin terms of water purity.

The Project

To build a water bottling plant in the region using pureglacier drinking water from a glacier in Norway andshipping the water in 40,000 dwt tanker ships todestination via Bergen. We would be looking to bottlein the first instance 300 to 400 million bottles per yearusing a combi-machine with at least three bottlinglines. As bottling is now fully computerised thestaffing would need to be no more than 12 maximumto run this equipment.

Competitors

The top players in bottled water are Coca Cola, Pepsiand Nestle, together with a number of nationalcompanies.

Imported Norwegian glacier water, with the lowestTDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of any water world-wide,can, if bottled locally, compete both on price (even ifimport duty has to be paid) and on quality with anybottled water currently sold anywhere in the world.

Water Quality

We have the source in Norway to supply 11 billionlitres per year, plus more if we ever need to supplyirrigation water, etc. This water is pure, and will beshipped with a UV treatment plant on board. When thewater is piped into a plant the water will again befiltered using a sand filter and UV treatment, with, veryimportantly, no other purification needed and nochemicals added.

Market for Bottled Water WBI have already made a number of sales forecasts, P&L charts, etc.on this water business. WBI have researched various markets forbottled water and, as far as we know, no company is bringing waterin bulk by sea to any region. In many regions water has to betreated with serious chemicals to kill the many bacteria that exist.WBI knows of one region, where, prior to 2009, the bottled watermarket was unregulated and many bottled water plants are nowbeing investigated for possible contaminated water.

Our water is, as we have said, extremely pure from source. As itis shipped with an onboard UV treatment plant and both sand-filtered and again UV treated when piped into a plant, no otherpurification or chemical-treatment is needed.
