NORWEGIAN DECOMMISSIONING CAPABILITIES INCLUDING P&A

2

The purpose of this brochure is to map the decommissioning’s clusters capabilities.

In dialog with the cluster INTSOK will investigate if it is an interest amongst the companies to internationalize some of the services through the INTSOK network arranging Workshops/seminars/client meetings in the market.

Decommissioning is a growing market: as an example the UK decom expenditure in 2014 was 1 billion £, and the expected expenditure for the period 2013 – 2023 is around 15 billion £. A major share of it (44%) is Plug & Abandonment of Wells (P&A for short) Moreover as a service the Value Creation in decom is high compared to new projects. Norway has also a growing home market for decommis-sioning, however it is lagging 10 years behind the UK.

INTSOK expects the decommissioning market to strengthen in other parts of the world like USGoM and South East Asia.
