WHY EXHIBIT?
Grow your own workforce.Competition for talented employees is fierce. The Expo lets you strengthen and diversify your local pipeline of talent.
Support Oregon education. Oregon’s high schools are full of promising students, yet our state has one of the nation’s worst graduation rates. Help inspire our students to graduate, continue their education and find great careers.
Showcase your company.More than 6,500 students from 75+ high schools in Oregon and SW Washington attend the Expo. It draws political leaders, business owners, educators, the media and 160+ exhibitors. Don’t be left out!
WHY THE EXPO WORKS
The NW Youth Careers Expo started small, and now it’s a major annual event. Employers and high schools return every year because:
• Students learn about careers, do mock interviews and speak directly to employers.
• Many employers offer hands-on activities at their exhibit, from welding simulations and X-ray interpretation to special effects makeup for movies.
• The Expo is informational, inspiring and – students tell us – fun.
3 TIPS FOR A GREAT EXHIBIT• Bring things from your workplace
that students can see, touch or try.
• Engage students with activities or demonstrations that get them thinking, talking, or competing.
• Have fun! Talking with teens can be a big energy boost.
