n Norgas has developed a Floating small-scale Storage and Regas Unit (FSRU) as a barge solution for

stranded gas consumers.

– The FSRU unit will be permanently stationed alongside a shore- based consumer (e.g.power plant).

– The FSRU can be located in shallow waters in areas susceptible to Tsunamis.

– To achieve this, we are looking at a Self-Elevated Platform/Barge to house the relevant equipment

on.

n The FSRU unit in the shape of a barge to mount the re-gas vaporisers, associated pumps, BOG com-

pressor and sufficient storage tanks on and which can be raised above the maximum expected tide and

wave height.

n The annual volumes of LNG transported and converted to gas and fed to the power plant will increase

over time. To stagger the capital expenditure, we have a solution where 3 tanks each 2,500 m3 can be

installed in the initial phase and more tanks added progressively as the ‘take-out’ volumes increase.

The initial design concept needs take into account such “plug & play” concept for the tanks to minimise

future down time and disruption.

n A Norgas design small-scale LNG shuttle vessel can easily call alongside the FSRU unit periodically and

safely moore to top up the 7,500-12,500m3 storage tanks.

THE NORGAS FSRU IS A JETTYLESS FSRU SOLUTION AND IT IS TSUNAMI RESILIENT

Our primary concept is the creation of a “Virtual Pipeline” through transportation and integration of LNG for the energy services, power, mining and industrial sectors in emerging markets. We target to replace liquid fuels such as diesel with natural gas, lowering operating costs for our clients and reducing the environmental impact.

Norgas Carriers (www.norgascarriers.com), based in Oslo, Norway and Singapore is focused on the marine logistics solutions for regional distribution of Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”).

Norgas’ core competence stems from the transportation of liquefied gases such as LNG, petro chemical gases, ethane and liquefied petroleum gas. We have more than 35 years of experience in Liquefied Gas Transportation and have been actively managing and operating Small-Scale LNG (“SSLNG”) carriers for more than 9 years. In 2008 we started the engineering and construction of the 6 first MultiGas carriers in the world at a total cost of about USD 300 million.

Norgas is owned by Kistefos AS (www.kistefos.no), a Norwegian based investment company with investments in various sectors including but not limited to: oil and gas, shipping/offshore, technology/ telecom, financial services, real estate and venture capital businesses. In 2019, Kistefos had assets of USD 3.6bn, an annual turnover of USD 1.6bn and a book equity of USD 330m.
