W.O I NTRODUCTION
The Aronson property is located in the central portion of the Manitou-Stormy Lakes Greenstone belt near Dryden, Ontario and consists of 24 contiguous claims. Noranda Exploration Company, Limited entered into an option agreement with Robert Fairservice, of Kenora, on Oct. 2, 1990. This report describes the results of a mapping/sampling and soil sampling program carried out from Nov. 1 to Nov. 9, 1990.
2.0 LOCATION AND ACCESS
The property is located 63 km south of Dryden on Aronson Lake and approximately 10 km west of Highway 502. Access to the property is by fixed wing aircraft from Dryden.
3.0 PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
The Aronson property consists of 24 contiguous unpatented mining claims located in the Mang and Lower Manitou Lake townships in the Kenora Mining Division. The claim numbers are:
1085635 to 1085637 incl. (3) 1133478 to 1133498 incl. (21)
4.0 PREVIOUS WORK
1984 - Geological and geophysical surveys carried out by Jalna Resources Ltd. over the auriferous sulphide chert units.
5.0 REGIONAL GEOLOGY
The property is situated in the central part of the Manitou-Stormy Lakes Greenstone belt within the Wabigoon sub-province. The whole region has been subjected to extensive tectonic activity, including shearing and faulting and lies within the northeast-southwest striking Manitou Straits fault zone.

i.O PROPER!Y GEOLOGY
The claims are predominantly underlain by mafic metavolcanics which have been interrupted by 3 main zones (Red, Blue and Green zones) of narrow northeast trending sheared pyritic siltstone/chert units (clastic metasediments).
Mafic Metavolcanics: usually weakly chloritic, massive, very fine to medium grained and amygdaloidal. Occasionally pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite can be observed in trace amounts. Along the eastern portion of the claims the unit exhibits magnetic characteristics with 1-2% magnetite crystals observed.
Siltstone/Chert: three different zones (Red, Blue and Green zones) of practically the same characteristics have been traced in the field and correspond well with the airborne EM anomalies. This clastic metasedimentary unit is sheared and gossaned with semi massive pyrite up to 15%. The unit is typically 4-5 meters wide with the Red and Green zones traced for 2 kms whereas the Blue zone was traced for 1 km. The sedimentary rocks are usually a combination of chert, argillite and siltstone with or without narrow quartz stringers, (<5cm). In one section, near the southern boundary of the Green zone a quartz feldspar porphyry is intermixed with this metasedimentary unit. Although massive it exhibits sulphide contact much like the siltstone/chert unit (5-10% finely disseminated pyrite).
Structure: the metasedimentary unit changes in strike trend from 005° at the southern boundary to 030° at the central portion of the claim block. The bedding usually dips steeply to the east-southeast from 85* to 75°.
7.0 SURVEY PARAMETERS
Geological Mapping/Sampling: mapping concentrated on the auriferous clastic metasedimentary unit with claim line geology done outside this with a 1:5000 map produced. A total of 83 rock samples were taken with 78 being assayed for Au whereas 5 had whole rock analysis done on them. All samples sent to TSL Laboratories, Saskatoon.
Geochemistry: A total of 68 B-horizon soils were taken over the northern section of the Red zone. These samples were sent to TSL Laboratories, Saskatoon as well.
.0 CONCLUSIONS
Assay results proved to be discouraging with only one value of significance. Sample 13378-A assayed .287 oz/t over aim chip from the island. There were 3 other samples which assayed in the 200 ppb range along strike from the island. The chert/siltstone unit appears to have very low gold content with the surrounding units having relatively no gold.
9.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on these results I would recommend a prospecting team further explore and follow-up the anomalous gold values to determine the extent of the gold mineralization.
Respectfully submitted,
/Jbi(no
