Force.com Development Enhancements

Page 26: Nonprofit user group winter 14 jl - 111013

In Winter ‘14, “Configuration Only” sandboxes are being renamed to “Developer Pro” sandboxes.

The storage limit for Developer Pro sandbox is increasing to 1GB.

Developer Sandbox storage limits are increasing from 10MB to 200MB.

Salesforce is changing the way we address Force.com Sites domain names; The system now requires a single

hyphen to separate sandbox names from subdomain names, instead of a period.

Winter ‘14 brings a new sandbox available for purchase, Partial Data Sandbox, that works in conjunction with

the Summer ‘13 feature, Sandbox Templates.

– When a template is applied to a Partial Data sandbox, the sandbox copy service will use data sampling to fill

the sandbox org with data, providing Admins with rich data sets in shorter periods of time.

– The refresh interval is only 5 days.

What are the Enhancements to Sandbox?

OFF-CYCLE RELEASE: Partial Data Sandbox will be released

outside of the regular release schedule. It will be available as an

add-on product in November. Please see the release blog for

specific dates.
