Writing Use the All about Earthworms poster and complete the KWL chart.
A KWL chart is what did you already know, what you want to know and what did you learn.
Today you will write about 2 things you knew about earthworms, 2 things you want to learn more about earthworms and 3 things you learnt about earthworms from the poster.
Remember: - plan by writing key words - check for capital letters, full stops and spelling - reread your writing to check it makes sense
Spelling • Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check • Choose 5 words to put into 5 different sentences. Make sure you use a conjunction (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so, because etc) in your sentences.
Writing Use the lifecycle poster to understand the 3 stages of an earthworm's life. Use the attached activity to reorder and explain each part of an earthworm's lifecycle. Remember: - plan by writing key words - check for capital letters, full stops and spelling - reread your writing to check it makes sense

Mathematics: What are 3 Dimensional (3D) objects? Every 3D object has three measurements to describe it: height, length, width.
Do you know the name of this 3D object? Watch this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxoLlSTu1jo Complete ‘3D shape label matching worksheet’. Fitness – Let’s get moving! Repeat this 3 times! -Run on the spot for 1minute -Hop 5 times and switch to the other leg -Do 10 star jumps -Crouch up & down 3 times
Mathematics: 3D features (faces and surfaces) Every 3D object has features to describe it. Some objects have flat or curved surfaces, faces, edges and vertices. Today we will focus on faces and surfaces of a 3D object. A face is a flat or curved surface on a 3D object. See this example:
Faces of a 3D object: This rectangular prism has 6 faces.
Flat and curved surfaces: 3D objects can be found all around us. This is an example of a 3D object in everyday life. This Coca-Cola can has 2 flat surfaces and 1 curved surface. Watch this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPZegz690Mg Scavenger hunt: Look around your house - can you find another 3D object? When you do, can you identify if the object has a face and a surface? If so, how many faces and surfaces can you see? Complete the column of identifying how many faces in the ‘3D shapes’ worksheet (only the faces column, keep your worksheet as you'll finish the rest in the next couple of lessons)
Fitness – Yoga! Watch this video and join in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM8NjfCfOg0 OR Type ‘Cosmic Kids Yoga’ into YouTube and choose your own to do!
Mathematics: 3D features (edges) Every 3D object has features to describe it. Some objects have flat or curved surfaces, faces, edges and vertices. Today we will focus on edges of a 3D object. An edge or a side of a 3D object is when two faces meet. Edges (sides).
See the end of the grid for extra help. Use the same worksheet (3D shapes) from yesterday and complete the column on edges. Fitness – Blanket Bounce You will need: -blanket/towel -ball -family member How to play: Hold the blanket/towel by the corners and place the ball in the middle. Bounce the ball on them blanket/towel. See how long you can bounce the ball without it touching the ground! This can be played with 2 people (using a towel) or 4 people (using a blanket).
Mathematics: 3D features (vertices) Every 3D object has features to describe it. Some objects have flat or curved surfaces, faces, edges and vertices. Today we will focus on vertices of a 3D object. A vertex is a corner where two edges meet. Vertices (corners).
See the end of the grid for extra help. Use the same worksheet (3D shapes) from yesterday and complete the column on vertices. PBL - Be a Learner at Home
PBL - Be Respectful.
It’s SASS appreciation Week!!!!!! That means we are celebrating the amazing helpers who assist us in the classroom, the wonderful office staff, and our amazing GA.
Draw a picture and write a message to one of those wonderful members of staff at our school. Send it to your teacher on SeeSaw so they can pass it on.
Mathematics: Revision/ catch up Do you know what are 3D objects? What measurements do they have for describing it (see lesson one) Complete any unfinished work from previous lesson/s. Optional challenge: Complete the worksheet ‘3D shapes’, complete naming 3D shape column and draw a line from the net to the object. Fitness – Get outdoors!
