Alan T. Villavicencio, MD
Kevin O. Lillehei, MD Dr. Lillehei went to Medical School at the University of Minnesota and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Michigan. He is Professor and Director of the Neuro-Oncology Program in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Lillehei is Director of the Neurosurgery-Neuro-Oncology laboratory with his research interests in malignant gliomas. In particular, he is interested in studying the role
of the immune system in intracranial tumor recognition and irradication, and is exploring the use of various tumor vaccines as adjuvant therapy for the treatment of malignant gliomas.
Daniel Sciubba, MD Dr. Sciubba received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his residency in neurosurgery and complex spine fellowship under Dr. Ziya Gokaslan at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dear Colleague:
We would like to extend this invitation to the upcoming symposium Current Techniques in the Treatment of Cranial and Spinal Disorders, which is organized by Justin Parker Neurological Institute (JPNI) and Boulder Neurosurgical Associates (BNA). This meeting is a one-day intensive live presentation educational seminar for anyone involved in the care of neurosurgical or orthopaedic spine patients. This includes surgeons, primary care physicians, interventional physiatrists, chiropractors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and anyone interested in the subject. The most innovative technologies and the latest evidence-based clinical guidelines in the care of cranial and spinal disorders will be presented.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Describe a number of new treatments and innovative technologies that are available for the management of spinal and cranial disorders • Discuss recommendations for treatment of spinal and cranial disorders based on the latest evidence-based clinical practice guidelines • Discuss basic recommendations relevant to clinical practice and to the improvement of patient outcomes
We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.
Alan T. Villavicencio, MD Program Chairman
