Rules ➢ A horse/pony may only compete in one Pick-a-Fence class. ➢ Non Pony Club Members are strongly recommended to have their own

insurance. ➢ Hats must bear the CE mark and be manufactured to one of the minimum

standards listed by The Pony Club. Hats must be fastened at all times whilst mounted.

➢ Body Protectors and Medical Armbands are compulsory for Cross Country. ➢ No stopwatches to be worn. ➢ No dogs allowed on the course. ➢ Objections may be lodged within 15 minutes of results being given but a £10

deposit must be lodged with the organising committee whose decision is final. Disclaimer of Liability: Neither the organisers nor the North Northumberland Hunt Pony Club accept liability for any accident, damage, illness or injury to horses, riders, spectators or any person or property whatsoever. Pick-a-Fence Scoring: ➢ Riders may attempt the highest fence option for their class. If they clear that

successfully they proceed to the next fence. If they stop, they may then attempt the next available height. If they stop again, then the lowest option may be attempted only once and the competitor will receive the points for that element. If they fail to negotiate an obstacle, they may continue to the next fence but will score no points.

➢ The winner will be the rider with the highest score and the quickest through the timed section.

➢ Junior & Novice riders may only jump the option on their marked course, not a higher option.

➢ Riders must give way to horses which catch up with them on the course but may then proceed at a safe distance. Jump judges are authorised to eliminate riders who do not maintain a safe distance between themselves and the preceding horse.

Rosettes: 1st to 6th in each class.

Withdrawals after the closing date with incur a £5 penalty.

Catering and Toilet will be available on the field.
