Teaching load of each faculty

15 to 20 hours per week.

Internal continuous evaluation:

The regulations of the JNT University provide for a continuous internal evaluation of 20 out of 100 in theory and 25 out of 75 for practical subjects. In the first year, which is a yearly programme, these marks are given on the basis of marks secured in four out of six tests conducted. In the second year onwards, which is on a semester system the best four out of five tests are taken into account. In practical the internal marks are given on the basis of day to day work and tests, with the day to day work carrying 15 marks and Internal Tests 10 marks. 25 marks out of 75 are for Internal Evaluation and 50 for the End Examinations.

Students’ assessment of faculty

Teaching effectiveness is assessed using a format designed in the college where the students award marks out of 25 to each teacher. The five traits covered are

Clarity of explanation (5 marks) Applications problems etc (5 marks) Control of class (5 marks) Board work/educational Aids (5 marks) Clearing of doubts (5 marks)

The students are not required to sign or put their Roll. Number. The whole process is supervised b the principal himself. In addition to this there is a suggestion box in which students can place their complaints. These complaints are attended to after due verification.
