Official IRONMAN European Tour Options, by Nirvana Europe

Event Options Option 1: Full Tour Package. This is our most popular option, & is designed through our experience & knowledge of the race, & island. The tour provides you with the best possible preparation before the race & as soon as you land in Kona, we will be with you every step of the way. Through our course tours, guided by former Kona finishers, our professional bike mechanic on hand throughout race week; welcome dinner; post race breakfast; daily transportation available to race functions (if required) and grocery shopping (Walmart & Safeway), use of track pumps in your hotel, up-to-date race information & having an experienced team around you providing support, assistance & guidance, the tour allows you to fully focus on your race whilst enjoying a trip of a lifetime. We can provide a full tour package to both athletes & spectators but for added flexibility, we can provide an athlete full tour package & a spectator package cost without all of the race related services (course tours, bike mechanical service etc.). Option 2: Accommodation including Airport Meet and Greet with Return Airport Transfers. We understand some athletes & spectators do not require the full support we offer, or like to do their own preparation in their own time; not a problem, we offer accommodation (you decide on the number of nights – minimum 5 nights) including airport meet & greet with return transfers at one of our hotel options. Option 3: Personalised Tour Package. We can provide a tailor made travel & accommodation package to suit your needs & requirements. Whether a lone traveller, family or group, we can package your trip according to your dates of travel & what you will like to include. Travel Excursion booking service in resort Accommodation Options We have five accommodation options. The 1st option is the official host hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel. This hotel overlooks the event start and finish and in the heart of the action – you cannot be closer. Event start, finish and transition are outside the front of the hotel; the welcome banquet, race briefing and awards ceremony and dinner are within the grounds of the hotel and registration is in the hotel ballrooms, just off reception. The 2nd option is the beautiful 4* Royal Kona Resort which is 0.7miles from the event start and finish on Ali’I Drive. The hotel is the second most popular hotel for the event and is a lovely resort. The Nirvana Europe event team stayed in the resort before the event last year and it is a great base on Ali’I drive and only a 10-15minute walk to the event start and finish area. The 3rd option is the Kona Seaside Hotel which is at the top of Palani Drive, & a short 100metre stroll down to the event start, finish, & all race functions at the Courtyard King Kam. The hotel offers a brilliant location, free Wi-Fi, friendly staff, air conditioning, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities within bedrooms. The 4th option is the Aston Kona by the Sea which is 2 miles from the event start/finish on Ali’I Drive. The aparthotel offers fantastic 1 & 2 bedrooms apartments which is very much your home away from home. Set in a quieter location, but still within excellent riding distance to the event start (6-10 minute ride; 30-35mins walk), the apartments have a large living room, full kitchen with washing machine and dryer, separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. An ideal family option with breathtaking ocean views. The 5th Option is the wonderful 4* Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay which is 7miles from the event site. The hotel is a spectacular family hotel, with a very high standard of accommodation and facilities. The hotel has 4 restaurants within the hotel grounds, one with spectacular views over the Ocean. We are also able to provide family condo’s and villas for large families or groups, as well as other hotel options further away from the event site down Ali’I drive. 4* Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel – Official Race Hotel

Hotel Overview This oceanfront, Big Island hotel offers rooms with a flat-screen TV and a balcony. The Kona Beach Hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the Hulihe’e Palace Museum and has seasonal Luaus. The rooms include a refrigerator and coffee-making facilities with Kona coffee. The King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel rooms are modern with island and nature inspired décor. Honu's on the Beach Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner. The Billfish Bar is located near the pool and features refreshments and a light menu. After a meal guests can shop in the air conditioned mall on the ground floor of the hotel. The King Kamehameha’s Kona also has a tour desk and activities desk with information on activities and events in and around the hotel.

4* Royal Kona Resort

Hotel Overview Situated facing the Pacific Ocean on Kailua Bay, this Kailua-Kona, Hawaii resort boasts an outdoor swimming pool, an on-site restaurant and rooms offering mountain and ocean views.

A TV, a refrigerator and tea and coffee-making facilities are included in all of the stylish rooms at Royal Kona Resort. Rooms are decorated in soft colours with rich wood accents. All rooms offer comfortable lanais, some with unique wrap-around sliding glass doors.

Featuring Asian fusion cuisine made with fresh local ingredients, Don the Beachcomber Restaurant is located on-site at Royal Kona. In migrating season guests can view humpback whales from the restaurant’s waterside tables. The resort offers tennis courts and an on-site spa and wellness centre with massage services. Guests can also stop by the fitness centre for a workout and a tour desk and around the clock reception are offered.

Hotel Overview Overlooking the ocean and offering easy access to beautiful beaches and popular Kona, Hawaii attractions, this hotel features comfortable accommodation. The Kona Seaside Hotel is conveniently placed close to Kahaluu Beach Park and the Captain Cook Monument. Guests can also easily tour nearby coffee farms, shop at local boutiques or dine at delicious restaurants. Amenities at the Seaside Kona Hotel include an outdoor swimming pool and on-site laundry facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available in the business centre, along with free use of computer stations.

INCLUDED: Daily Shuttle Service provided between accommodation and Event Site Hotel Overview Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this resort in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii features an oceanfront outdoor pool and spacious suites with a fully equipped kitchen. Kaloko-Honokohau Historical Park is 5.5 miles away. The furnished apartments at Aston Kona by the Sea offer tropical décor and bright colours. Each apartment has private bedrooms, a large living room, full kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. Flat-screen cable TVs, a private balcony and washer/dryer are featured. Guests can relax outdoors in the hot tub or use the barbecue facilities. Aston Kona by the Sea provides free on-site parking and concierge services for added convenience.

Hotel Overview Nestled along the Keauhou Bay on an outcropping of volcanic rock, this luxurious hotel in Kailua Kona, Hawaii offers enjoyable activities as well as relaxing spa services.

Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay features an outdoor free-form pool that is surrounded by tropical landscaping. Guests can workout in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, then relax with a massage in the full-service spa. After playing beach volleyball or a game of tennis, guests can enjoy a refreshing beverage while viewing the ocean in the tropical Crystal Blue lounge. The poolside Rays On The Bay serves light fare and cold tropical drinks. Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay onsite coffee shop, Keauhou Coffee Company, offers a variety of coffee selections as well as salads, wraps and pizzas.
