These cards are called ‘hanafuda cards’ which is a traditionally Japanese card game.

IN THE BEGINNING…

In 2010 Club Nintendo released a modern day version of the card game that featured Mario characters.

DEVELOPMENT OVERTIME…The ultra hand was made in 1966 and sold 1 million units.

The ultra machine was made in 1967 and sold 2 million units.

The love tester was made in 1969 and sold 1 million units.

THE FOUNDING MEMBERS…Hiroshi Yamauchi – Nintendo’s second president and helped forward the company’s card selling business.

Shigeru Miyamoto – Nintendo’s brain box and product designer. He is famous among the video games industry.

Satoru Iwata – Nintendo’s current President, games creator and head of planning.

THE SIZE OF NINTENDO…Nintendo’s employment rate have increased by ¼ over the last 4 years. And Japan take up about half of that employment.

Males are more employed then female workers.

ANNUAL SALES…Nintendo’s best year in the last 5 was 2008.where they collected over 1million yen.

Hardware is Nintendo's main income closely followed by software.

FUTURE PLANS…Nintendo’s next home ‘The Wii U’ console will be released later this year. With a touch screen controller.

Nintendo’s other main focus is there growing 3DS titles. With such games like Animal crossing and paper Mario also being released.

CONCLUSIONS…So Nintendo came from making cards to making digital 3D video games based on cards. I believe that Nintendo is a hard working company and are always 1st when it comes to new technology.The main reason why I picked Nintendo for this project is because im a big fan of them and if possible would love to work for them one day.
