    Evangelism

    seems to

    be

    getting

harder and harder in Japan. These

    are

    the

    words in

    l et t ers from 2

    missionaries

in Japan. Bro th er T ak afuji says

    the

    5 class groups and church

    services

    continue in the Sendai

    area.

    The groups got together for

    some

    fine

    fellowship

    a t

    New

    Years time.

    We

    only wish

    this

    fellowship could reach out

    to

    others

    who

    know

    nothing o

    th e rich blessings

    that

are ours in Christ. We covet your continued prayers on behalf of

National Missionary Convention l as t September

    we

    learned of

    th e

    need

    for

    giving

    gifts to

    missions

    in

    a

    way

    that will

    meet the requirements of

    income ta x regulations.

    For

    example,

to write a check to Paul Nielsen, even though

    you

    designate the gift for mission

    work down

    in

    the corner of the

    check

is no longer legal i f

    you wish

    exemption in

    your

    income

t ax. The check must be made

    to

    an

    incorporated mission

    name

    or to

    th e name o f a

    church.

    In most cases

    the

    convenient way is

to give your gi f t

    through

    the local

    church

where you worship asking the church to send your gi f t to your d es ig na te d m is si on ar y o r

    mission

fi el d . I f sending your gif t to us through the local church is

    farm

    villages where the Gospel

    has

    never

    been

    preached regular ly

in the vi l lage . The people can

    hear Christ ian

    programs on the i r radio every day. Perhaps a s t ree t

    in

    the i r village

    once

    Yet these rural

    belongs to

    large

    Most of you can

    Pray

    tha t God

    wil l

    open a

    door

    is

    open.

    There

    are

    no government

o r r el ig ious restr ict ions

    to

keep us out but there are

    social barriers of

    t radit ion

    indifference

    Pray
