    F I R S T SERVICES

    HELD

    IN SENDAI JAPAN

    Services were started in November in Mr, Tak afu ji s

    native

    evangelist) home.

    Pictured with Mr. and Mrs. Takafuji and

    th e ir

    daughter Mari, are 2 college g i r l s and

    1 high school g i r l . These attended th e second

    service.

    attending

    th e services.

    None

    of these

    girls

    are C hr istian s but

    they

    show interest

    in

    studying

    God s Word Besides regular services, these girls, with the help of Mr Takafuji,

    are

    producing a tape recording in Japanese

    to

    be used with th e showing of th e

    Christmas St ory a t Christmas

    time.

    he

    s tar ted some

    50 years ago. As y e t no t r a c e o f

    t h a t

    work has been found.

    The g r e a t e s t

    need,

    ot her than the

    prayers

    o f th e bret hren at home f o r th is new

    work,

    is

    a month increase in support to

    make

    a skeleton budget balance. Seventy

    Five dollars is needed

    now for

    an adequate budget . By

    next

    spring,

    when

    we

    plan

    to

    go out

    into

    th e villages

    to

    s ta r t work, a t least an additional 75 per month will be

    they

    are welcome
