Chapter One

It was a bright and sunny day and Nicole, though she preferred to becalled Nickie, was helping her mother curl her hair. Nickie's mom was verynervous.

"Mom, stop moving around so much," Nickie sighed."I'm sorry hun," she said. "I just don't want you to burn yourself!"Nickie rolled her eyes."Mom," she said exasperated. "I'm 10 years old, mom. I think I can

handle a cur…"All of the sudden Nickie's brother Steven burst into the room, slammed

Nickie into the wall and knocked the wind out of her."MOMMOMMOM GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT," he shouted to loudly

mom's glasses broke."What, Steven, what," she said, totally surprised by the sudden

interruption."They've, they've accepted me, mom," he gasped, struggling to catch his

breath.

Chapter Two

"Accepted to what," Nickie wondered aloud."Your brother," mom began, "has been accepted to be trained to fight

for the army."Nickie didn't need to know any more. She hurried out of the room,

through the hall, the kitchen, the dining room, the living room, her brother'sroom, her parent' and at long last, she reached her own room. Stop rightthere. You must be wondering, "Wow these people must be filthy richbecause they have to won a lot of land to have a house that long." If you arethinking that you're wrong.

These particular people are called Miniques. All of them live in a huge,old abandoned skyscraper that humans don't want to knock down becausethey feared it would destroy their whole town.

There is one city of Miniques on most floors — except for the very middlefloor. That floor was for fighting wars. Nickie and her family lived on the topfloor, but she was extremely afraid of heights.

I know that you've noticed I circled the word "mini." This is because thepeople in question are only about three inches tall.I know, wow, what ashocker. Now back to the story.

At long last she reached her own room. Nickie grabbed a suitcase andput many things inside of it. She grabbed the suit case and began towards herdoor when she heard slow but loud footsteps behind the door leading to herdad's weapon room.

Chapter Three

Out of breath, she ran straight into her brother's room, where she foundher parents helping him pack his bags. One of them for (though mom and daddid not know) video games and other electronics. The other was for clothingand things that he did need. That was the one they were packing now.

"There is someone in the weapon room!" she gasped."I'll check on that," her father said.He checked and there was no one there, so Nickie was forced to sleep

there that night. She found out that her brother left the very next morning at3:00 a.m. Nickie made her move in the middle of the night. Grabbing thesuitcase she had packed earlier and her miniature hamster, she headed for thefront door.

She emptied the suitcase with the video games in in and hid the contentsbehind the couch. Nickie climbed into the suitcase holding her hamster andher suitcase. Nickie then curled up and fell asleep.

Chapter Four

Nickie awoke and gave a start before she realized where she was. Shewas in Steven's suitcase and the plane was lifting off.

Nickie's ears began to hurt so she now knew what planes were like:painful. Nicky was so so so so so so so so so so so tired that she tried to fallasleep again but somehow she couldn't. Nicke knew she had put Melatonin inthe side pocket but then she knew it as it hit her like a frying pan. It had notbeen this suitcase. She had put it in the other one.

Dun. Dun. Dun.

Chapter Five

Eight years later…Nickie had met many new people and made a lot of new friends,

including her boyfriend Michael. She also met and became friends withInstructor Lisa Nickelson, General Nickelson, her best friend Ashley Nickelsonand many male troops. Nickie's brother Steven was doing well, too. He hadalready gotten married to the only other girl there besides Mrs. Nickelson,Ashley and herself. Nickie's new sister-in-law's name was Sophia.

All of the sudden the General's voice boomed out over the land: "Wehave important news for you. Please go to the assembly room."

"Excellent," Steven said. "OK, we are going to war. Pack your bags forthe trip."

Chapter Six

One month, two weeks later…They were losing the war, and that wasn't the only bad thing. Nickie and

Ashley were made breakfast, lunch and dinner ladies. And there was a mannobody could kill, but Nickie had a plan.

At that moment, she was building a catapult. One hour passed. It wasready!

She shot many things at him, but nothing worked. Then finally there wasonly one thing left: A jar of crunchy peanut butter with peanut brittle chunks.

Nickie scooped it all out into the catapult, aimed it and fired it. It wasincredible! It all happened at once. The man man crumpled.

It turned out he was allergic to peanuts. Her brother finished him off bystabbing him and when the IVPs (In Victory People) saw that their hero wasdead, they turned and ran. The war was over.

And everyone lived happily ever after. Except the guy who was allergicto peanut butter.
