Career Timeline

2006 – Present day - Sweet PR Ltd - Managing Director

As Managing Director of a small, profitable PR agency I was focused on three areas: business

development, account management and financial control. Beauty and wellbeing brand experience

includes campaigns for No7 skincare and make-up, Nanogen, Smile Savers Hungary, Yoga for The

Mind, Victoria Health, EF MediSpa, SkinMedica, SkinCeuticals, Revitalash, Eleven Hair, Smile Savers

Hungary, Janina, T-Zone Skincare, Epic Gym, Dr Leslie Baumann, Dr Toni Phillips and Abahna. Our

projects included working with the Boots PR team on the well known No7 Protect & Perfect

campaign which saw the brand experience unprecedented sales success. In the days following the TV

programme sales of the serum increased by nearly 2000%, with 13 bottles being sold every minute.

At the height of the public’s frenzy for the serum, Boots’ production facilities were working around-

the-clock to hit the target of 1,000 bottles an hour.

2003 – 2006 - Freelance PR Consultant

As a freelance consultant I planned and implemented PR campaigns for a wide variety of brands

including Amanda Lacey, Champneys and Michaeljohn. My services were also called upon by

agencies such as Hill & Knowlton for writing global campaign templates and new business

documents.

2000 – 2003 - Hill & Knowlton - Senior Account Director

I was recruited by Hill & Knowlton to bring more beauty expertise to the Consumer Healthcare

Division. I managed a team of consultants working across a number of blue chip accounts including

Proctor & Gamble hair care brands; Crookes Healthcare personal care brands E45 and Clearasil and

Boots Wellbeing. I led the teams that launched Boots Pure Beauty and Listerine Actives. Delivering

campaigns, preparing new business pitches, managing fee forecasts and team management were all

part of day to day life at this leading agency.

1998 – 2000 - Clinique Laboratories Ltd – Assistant PR Manager

I worked across the cosmetics, skincare, men’s and hair care lines to deliver media relations

campaigns for the brand. I had special responsibility for events and make-up artist liaison and

established many of the excellent journalist relationships that I still enjoy today.

1995 – 1997 - Freelancer PR Consultant – Sydney

I worked for several agencies on a variety of fashion and beauty brands including the Australian

launch of Toni & Guy; G-Shock Watches, Bausch & Lomb and hair care brands Fudge and Joico.

1994 – 1995 - Publicity Assistant for Penguin Children’s Books

I worked with both established authors and new publications to gain publicity via media relations

and events.
