youngest and most ambitious project Amsterdams Blauw hit the stores in December 2010; a compact high profile denim collection that could only come from the Scotch kitchen.

Scotch & Soda loves to make great garments that suit every individual. We want people to love their clothes and enjoy wearing them. Scotch & Soda products are of high quality, rich in detail and affordable. The designers at Scotch spare no effort or expense at detailing and fine-tuning samples, all the way to the neatly finished interior of each garment. We invest in the product, which is typically informed by the best tried and tested classic and vintage styles, enriched with a wealth of inspiration from around theworld.

Though Scotch & Soda has been around since the 80s, the Amsterdam-based fashion brand as we know it today originates in a brave new start in 2001, when three new owners joined their broad experience and shared love for making great garments. After Scotch & Soda was re-launched for Spring Summer 2002, Scotch Shrunk was added for Spring Summer 2008. Literally shrinking men’s styles to little brother or son sizes was a completely new take on kids wear, and Shrunk made waves no-one at Scotch had even dared dream of. This success was soon followed by the launch of a women’s collection: Maison Scotch entered the market with the Spring/Summer 2010 collection and it already accounts for a large part of the company’s continuous growth. Little sister R’Belle showed up for Spring/Summer2011.

An Ontario-based photography firm that gained an Internet following two years ago with its video of a festive flash mob has found a new viral way to ring in the holiday season.

A new video created by Alphabet Photography of Niagara Falls, Ont., depicts employees taking a break from producing framed pictures and turning their talents to a more auditory art form instead. Using machinery and office supplies scattered through the company’s production warehouse, the workers take less than two minutes to stage a rousing rendition of the Christmas-time classic “Carol of the Bells.” The clip has already garnered nearly 85,000 views in the week it’s been posted on the popular video sharing site YouTube, but still has a long way to go to eclipse the success of Alphabet’s last holiday campaign.

A 2010 video depicting a flash mob of singers serenading a local food court with a stirring version of the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” became a YouTube sensation. The clip has attracted nearly 39 million views and landed the fledgling firm air

time on several major U.S. television networks.

For Alphabet Photography president Jennifer Blakeley, the surprise attention gave her a chance to both promote her company and deliver some yuletide cheer. “Christmas is my favourite time of the year,” Blakeley said in a telephone interview. “Everyone’s just happy, and people are uplifted and looking for interesting things to look at and pass around.”

Blakeley said she’s always on the lookout for ways to inject some vitality into the often stale medium of online campaigning, adding quirky videos

seemed a good fit for a company specializing in artwork made entirely of letters of the alphabet. True to form, she said, the ideas for her holiday campaigns often strike her in unexpected places. The flash mob video concept was born, she said, after an evening of watching “The Apprentice” and a morning of singing in the shower. Inspiration for the 2012 offering struck her as she perused shelves of toys for her young daughter and began imagining the variety of sounds the gadgets could make. Once she decided to focus the video on the nearly 25 staff at Alphabet headquarters, the idea of using company equipment seemed only natural. The final product opens with a staff member sounding a dial

tone before using the keypad to play the four-note refrain that repeats throughout the carol. Colleagues and a smattering of volunteer professional musicians then join in with their ready-made office instruments.

Drills, air guns, staplers, coffee cups and pens all come together for a fully harmonized, percussion-heavy take on the holiday classic. Blakeley said the video was shot for little more than the cost of pizza and soft drinks to jolly the makeshift orchestra along. The video highlights some of Blakeley’s personal values, she said, adding it shines a spotlight on the ordinary people who

keep independent businesses afloat.“I think that it’s important, especially

at this time of year, when it’s so easy to go to Wal-Mart to purchase a gift, to actually see the people our customers are impacting,” she said. “The people who create that for you are relying on that for their families and for their income.” Blakeley said the company took a hiatus from holiday-themed video campaigns in 2011 in order to draw attention to another cause. A video of people coming together to form a human alphabet helped raise money for the Canadian Olympic team, she said. Zucker once earned credit for skyrocketing ratings at the “Today” show. He later was blamed for NBC’s entertainment programming dropping from first to fourth in the ratings. His

stance that CNN can succeed without venturing off of its news mission is in keeping with what CNN leaders have said for years amid well-known and widely diagnosed ratings woes.

Lamborghini has given an update to its Gallardo supercar, helping to keep it fresh until a successor arrives sometime in the next year or two. The changes aren’t too drastic, which is to be expected this late into a model’s life cycle, but they do give the Gallardo a much smarter look.

Making its debut this week at the 2012 Paris Auto Show, the new Gallardo range, which enters the market as a 2013 model, will be

10 Tips for a Better Lifestyle

1Remember what you want in the big picture instead of what you think you must have this very moment. Most things we desire are not needs; they are wants.

Get a good night’s sleep. If you are tired, you cannot function at your best, and you need to be at the top of your game as much as possible. So turn off the TV and sleep.

Don’t loan money to those close to you. If you feel they deserve your help, make it a gift, because an unpaid loan can undo a friendship.

Write thank-you notes by hand. Hardly anyone does this anymore, yet it can be so meaningful.

Give some love to a person in need. Visit a rest home where you don’t know anyone and have a conversation with a stranger.

When someone loses a pet, don’t say, “Well it was only an animal.” People bond with their pets like children, and those pets become family members.

When you think back on your life, focus on the good that has come your way, not on what you think you may have missed.

It’s okay to slow down. Some people try to pack as much as they can into a day or a vacation.

Read a book that you’ve read before. This is like reconnecting with an old friend. Plus, rereading an old book will call forth memories.

Give yourself a gift. It may be traveling to a distant land or simply taking the day off. Whatever you decide on doing.10

Without bothering Jung and its “Puer aeternus” or Pascoli with its “Little Boy”, we can certainly agree that, somewhere inside each of us, there’s a young core, instinctive, creative but also innocent and naïve. What would happen if this intimate essence would be completely revealed?L’ Enfant Extérieur (The Outer Child) takes into analysis this possibility, showing us a world of men in the shape of children, as if the body could slip on the ugliness of life, less expected to imagine big fawn’s eyes winking in the night clubs.

Shape-substance and that questions itself about the nature of purity and the unavoidability of the corruption.

Without taking itself too seriously, because in the end, you know, children like to play.. In all of us, however old we are, is a child, buried away, only unleashed when we see fit. Cristian Girotto came up with a neat and funny project which makes real life adults look like children. And to be honest it’s scary but also hilarious.
