The Double Diamond Of DesignThe double diamond diagram was developed through in-house research at the Design Council, UK, in 2005 as a simple
graphical way of describing the design process. The idea was to chalk out a streamlined design method that used
divergence and convergence to solve a problem taken through different stages of evolution of an idea.
