• Following a competitive process, we have
signed an agreement with BT, subject to state
aid and major projects approval
• The largest partnership of its kind in the UK
• Key milestones for the project will be
announced in the autumn

An open network providing wholesale next generation broadband services – bringing competition, choice and low prices

• NGBW will provide access to almost 700,000 premises in Wales, or 48% of premises
• Over 1.3 million premises in Wales will be able to access a fibre based service by 2015.

Next Generation Broadband for Wales project
• Main technology - BT’s Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) service delivers speeds up to 80Mbps downstream and 20Mbps upstream
• Ultrafast speeds - Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) speeds
of 300Mbps downstream and 30Mbps upstream
available to some areas, and also “on demand” to anyone in an FTTC area next Spring
