Now that the rush is over ... … it’s time to relax and hang out on the

patio, right? Almost!

In this issue, we highlight some agrē

reports to assist you in tidying up

prepayments, give you some tips

on submitting your EMR

reports, and discuss a couple of

cool new features that might save you

some time and get you out of the office a little earlier.

We’ll also introduce you to a couple of new employees who

have joined our team, as a couple of others have recently

stepped up the corporate ladder into new positions.

Trevor Kidney from Soil Tech wins a $25

gift card for sharing his real man’s recipe

for Grilled Bacon Wrapped Corn-on-the-

Cob, and we’re running a new recipe con-

test (with more prizes!) for the best

Hallowe’en recipe to be published in our

fall newsletter.

Hope you have a great summer!

Now that spring is over, you may want to check what customers haven’t picked up yet. Run

the Work Order Activity report for Active Orders, Any Date, Prepaid only, sorted by either

Customer or Product, and Show Totals if you want to see them.

agrē Tip: Prepayments—What’s Left to Pick Up?

If the customer has already taken all the product he’s going to pick up, you can close the

Work Order(s) to free up the commitment. If you’ve used expiry dates, the Work Orders will

close on their own once that date has passed.

If the customer has prepayment dollars left over, you can transfer them to his regular account

using the Transfer Prepayment Funds button, and then you can Return their Funds if

you’d like to.

agrē Tip: Prepayments—What Do I Do with the Leftovers?

agrē Tip: Prepayment Dollars—What’s Left to Spend?

If you’d like to see how much

prepayment money customers

have left over, run the Customer

Balances report, for those “With

Prepayment Remaining”.

Optionally show total dollars

remaining by Location.

When adding a unit type, it’s easy to get the

Conversion Factor backwards and end up with

100 drums in a jug instead of the other way

around.

agrē gives you a hint that makes it easy to get the

Conversion Factor right.

agrē NEW Feature: Product Unit Type Conversion

Submitted by a Saskatchewan retailer: to make sure that you’ve got the right manufacturer

tagged to the right product, use the Product List Export.

agrē Tip: AgCollect/EMR Reporting

If you don't see what you’re looking for on a report,

try a data export!

Exports often include data fields that aren’t on re-

ports. The Preview Data button is perfect to see

exactly what will be exported, and the Export to

Excel button makes it almost too easy to take your

data to where you can group it, sort it, and sum it up

however you need to.

With a diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from NAIT,

Joe Williams has been a valued member of the Tronia agrē Team

since 2006. Joe has recently been promoted from Quality Assurance

to a new role in Development, while retaining responsibility for agrē

deployments.

Joe’s promotion left an empty spot in Quality Assurance, which was

filled by newcomer Amie Brown. Amie comes to us with 9 years’

experience in the grocery industry, with the last 6 years focused on

information technology, and she attends NAIT part time completing

her Administrator/Application Development certificate. Amie scruti-

nizes the code to find any imperfections that may have slipped past

our top-notch development team, and tests all the cool new agrē

features.

After 7 years as a CSC, Anita Marghella has become our new Busi-

ness Development Coordinator . She’s complementing her NAIT

diploma in Business Administration (Accounting) by attending the

University of Alberta part time to work on her Business Analysis

Citation. Anita’s primary focus will be acting as a liaison between our

Customers and our Development team.

Replacing Anita in the CSC chair is Dee Klassen, whose voice many

of you will recognize as she was our Office Administrator for the

past 18 months. If you need pre-printed forms, she’s still your girl!

With more than 20 years of customer service experience and 15 years

of accounting experience – you can count on Dee to

provide you with nothing but the highest level of

support.

Shana Dahl is our most recent draft pick. She acquired

an Accounting Diploma from Grant MacEwan College and became a

Certified Management Accountant while spending 14 years in the

service industry supporting oil and gas. Shana is our part time Office

Administrator and full time mom of two.

Tronia Employee Update

There’s been some staffing changes at Tronia, and for a change

they weren’t the result of a new baby!

Cajun seasoning to taste

salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

1. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.

2. Sprinkle each ear of corn with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper, and wrap each ear with 2

slices of bacon, covering the ear as completely as possible. (A big ear might need 3 pieces of

bacon.) Wrap the ears in aluminum foil, twisting the ends tightly to seal.

3. Place the wrapped corn on the preheated grill, and grill on high heat until the corn is

hot, about 10 minutes per side. Turn the heat to Low, and grill the corn until the bacon is

Still Using the Edge?

While we will continue to support the Edge for a few years yet, our focus is on

the continued development and improvement of agrē. For more than three

years we have been successfully converting retailers to

the agrē solution and the results have been very posi-

tive. Customers tell us they appreciate the added flexi-

bility, and they especially like the improved Reports.

Most wonder why they waited so long to switch!

If you’re not yet scheduled for conversion, contact

your CSC to select a date that works for you. Ongoing

bookings are taking place so be sure to reserve your

spot soon as 2010 is almost full and we’re booking

conversions for 2011. Your CSC will also help you

begin preparing for agrē.
