seven prizes of merit in differentFlower- Show competitionsorganised by variousorganisations at. Lucknow.Campus Garden has also beenadjudged second in the Districtfor which a Trophy has beenawarded to the Institute.
New Scanning Electron Microscope (LEO 430) has beeninstalled.
A coloured Xeroxing Machine(Modi 5799) has been acquired.
Library Hall has been air-conditioned.
Renovation of PhotographicUnit and Canteen has been
completed.
Pensioners welfare society ofInstitute was formed (vide Regd.No. 1541/96-97 under the
Presidentship of Dr. K R Surange,Former Director BSIP. It has 46
life members and 10 ordinarymembers. The society aims topromote the welfare of pensioners, their benefit, health care, In
come tax and related problems.
The Institute has providedaccommodation and furniture for
the office of the society.
