ENJOY A HOLIDAY CONCERT AT THE LIBRARY Saturday, December 2, at 2:00 p.m.
Based in Ormond Beach, the Beachside Brass Quintet was born from a group of dedicated musicians who simply wanted to read through a library of challenging brass music for their own pleasure. They love to share the fun—from baroque to the Beatles, with plenty of jazz thrown in to make things interesting! There isn’t much they won’t play to entertain whoever is willing to listen!

Happy Holidays! Can you believe another year will soon be over? This past year has been a very busy one at the Daytona Beach Regional Library. We have transformed a storage room into the new Launch Pad makerspace, with more than 85 guests attending our Grand Opening in September. If you have not yet visited the Launch
Pad, consider this your personal invitation! Patron and community response has been wonderful and
there have been many ideas for new and different programs. Please watch for our program listings for the beginning of the year and let us know if you have a suggestion for something else you’d like to see!
The holidays can be stressful as well as fun, and a new--or perhaps old--way to relax and deal with stress
is making a comeback: Adult coloring books! There are no instructions, no rights or wrongs, and no need for expensive art supplies – you can simply doodle and color in the designs any way you wish. Coloring
books are available in the Launch Pad. You can pick a page and get to work, or take the page home with you. Give it a try!
Thanksgiving is almost upon us and is a wonderful time to remember all the good things we have. I am thankful for the wonderful staff and volunteers, without whom our library would not be the friendly, helpful place it is! I am thankful for a terrific Friends of the Library organization who so willingly support us and challenge us to be the best we can.
May your holidays be happy, healthy, and stress free! See you in 2016!

Service, for a workshop on regular physical activity as a key factor in maintaining a healthy body weight in adults and children. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2:00-4:00 pm.
Student Art Exhibit. Student art from elementary through high school will be part of the 53rd Halifax River Art Festival. The art will be displayed and judged in the adult auditorium of our library. So when you visit
the art show Nov. 7 and 8, take a short detour and check out the art of our talented students.
