ADVERSE EVENT REPORTING

We hope that you have all been using the NEW Adverse Event report form given back in December. If you do not have a copy, please call us or visit our website www.nightingalecasemanagement.com and click on FORMS. All forms can be downloaded and printed for your use.

As a reminder, CTA and the health plans require that the Adverse Event forms are complete before it is submitted. Please be thorough, descriptive and remember to complete all areas of the form before sending it to our office.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

CTA requires that your CCFFH have its own policies & procedures. Please be sure that you only have one set of policies for your Foster Home. CTA has mentioned reviewing multiple sets of policies & procedures in some of the Foster Homes.

You may ask your case management agency to assist you with obtaining CCFFH policies. Please be sure that your Foster Home only has one set of policies it will adhere to.

NEW SERVICE PLANS

All clients will have a new service plan created by your visiting RN by March. If you do not receive a new service plan, please let our office know so we can send you a copy.

The new service plans require signatures from the RN, client or representative, and the Primary Caregiver (substitute caregivers don’t need to sign).

Please review the service plan so you are aware of the current plans & goals for your client.

The RN should be updating each service plan every 6 months & with any change in the client’s condition.

IMPORTANT NEWS & UPDATES

Effective lines of communication are necessary to coordinate our client’s care.

Enclosed, you will find a postcard that asks what method of sending & receiving documents you prefer. Please complete it and mail it back to our office.

FAX: If you prefer to fax, please be sure your fax machine has a dedicated line and is ON at all times. It is time consuming for our staff to have to call you before faxing.

E-MAIL: We l.o.v.e. e-mail! It’s fast, environmentally friendly and FREE!

If you prefer to email, you MUST HAVE A SECURE EMAIL ACCOUNT before sending documents with client’s information.

Please call our office so we can help you set up a secure email account.

Spring is in the air and so are billion of tiny pollens that cause allergy symptoms. This condition is called seasonal allergic rhinitis also known as hay fever. Hay fever can lead to sinus infections, disrupt your sleep, and affect your ability to perform productively at work.

Try these easy home-remedies to help relieve your sinus congestion or nasal allergies, in the comfort of your own home!

Nasal Allergy Home-Remedies

Steam Carefully pour boiling water into a bowl/container and inhale deeply through your nose for 5-10 minutes.

TIP: Add in a few drops of Eucalyptus oil, to help open your sinuses further.
