Junior Leadership Team This week, the team worked on arranging their upcoming visit to the Mayor Parlour.

Nine members of the JLT (and two Year 3

pupils, who had written to the Lord Mayor separately as part of a writing project) will

visit the Parlour on Tuesday 18th November.

The focus will be on democracy and on how further to develop effective pupil leadership.

We will let you know how it goes.

September is the month of the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

PiXL update

The Year 6 PiXL groups are continuing to impact on the children’s learning. Following some of the

children’s invitation to the Head Teacher’s Tea Party, it was pleasing to hear how much they

value and enjoy the extra PiXL sessions they are completing.

Following the latest round of assessments, I have been able to regroup some of the children and update their PLC (Primary Learning Checklist).

These will be shared with the children next week. This will give them a greater responsibility of

their learning and help them understand what areas they need to develop in. We will encourage them to share this with parents so everybody can

work together to help the children succeed.

For more information, please see www.pixl.org.uk

School Displays

A big thank you to staff who have been working so hard on displaying pupils’ work so

effectively.

Lots of pupils have produced excellent work and we are proud to share it with everyone.

Thanks to all concerned.

P.E. KITS

It is important that your child takes part in the timetabled Physical Education lessons each week. Please ensure that your child has a suitable P.E. kit in school every week.

Parish/School Community Christmas Bazaar

Friday 5th December 5 – 7 pm.

Raffle ticket books have been sent out this week. Please return all ticket stubs and money in an envelope to the School Office. Extra books are available from the School Office, please return any unused/unsold books, do not destroy.
