Support Fire Victims
As a school we would like to help those who
have been affected by the recent bushfires
around Merriwa and Dunedoo and the workers
who are now in the clean-up process.
Ideas for the clean-up crew: general household
cleaning products, pegs and washing baskets,
washing powder, heavy duty soap for workers’
hands, toilet paper non-perishable food items.
Please bring any donations to the school by next
Friday 3rd March so that Peta Christie can
deliver the items to those in need.
Touch
Wow! Well done team. Ten students
representing our school in the Junior Touch
Competition at Gipps St on a Monday afternoon.
Thank you Mr Brown, Mrs McDonald and
parents for all your support . The kids seem to
have a great time and look forward to next
Monday.

Thank you
Thank you once again for your support by
organising swimming lesson pool pickup phone-
calls on Thursday. This helped me greatly.
Jennifer Johnston’s Position:
Still trying to work through this, I appreciate
your patience and support with this matter.
Recess Eating
Thank you for your support with your child’s
recess food. We are getting better. There is still
room for improvement. Keep replacing chips,
lollies, chocolates and biscuits with healthy
alternatives. Eg: cheese, plain popcorn, yoghurt
(check sugar levels), fruit.
Remember: Everything in moderation, and a
variety of foods is the key to a healthy diet.

Prawn White Spot Disease By Angus Urquhart
My name is Professor Angus Urquhart. I
am a biologist in Sydney. My work is to
solve many problems and cure diseases.
Right now I am working on a cure for the
White Spot Disease on the prawns in
Queensland, at the Logan River. I have
done a lot of research making mutations
with the prawns.
After months of research I have created a
chemical that will stop the disease. I will
destroy all the prawns except a few that I
will be injecting with my newly invented
cure. They will breed furiously and in six
months they will repopulate the Logan
Dams.
Six months later, the Logan river is back to
normal and the prawns are back in the
shop and selling again.
I am now a famous Biologist Professor and
continuing my work on breeding flowers.
