International Consumer and Buyer BehaviorActivities October 2019
To serve the rising demand for understanding International consumer behavior resulting in increased cross
border repetitive business which can also support in promulgating future decisions about product creation,
design and pricing WTC Jaipur organized a seminar on International Consumer and Buyer Behavior at
conference hall, common facility center, EPCH Jodhpur. The seminar provided a strong platform to more than
70 manufacturers from Rajasthan and gave them an opportunity to interact with leading exporters and subject
matter experts.

Leading a delegation of about 18 exhibitors from Rajasthan and Gujarat WTC Jaipur supported the MSMEs
from various districts of the two states and provided them complimentary stalls to exhibit their exportable
handmade products by working hand in hand with MSME Jaipur, Industries Department Udyog Bhawan Jaipur,
Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles - Jodhpur, Jaipur and Gujarat office.
WTC Jaipur was also able to take active support from Mr. P. Mallikarjunaiah, Regional Director (Western
Region) O/o The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India to motivate the
exhibitors and deliver his presentation on Export scenario form India.

It is noteworthy here to mention that earlier WTC Jaipur hosted an open house meet with exporters from
Rajasthan in Jaipur in the presence of Mr. Anup Wadhawan, the then DGFT and Mr. Yaduvendra Mathur, IAS,
the then CMD, EXIM Bank. After the program this is Mr. Wadhawan’s second visit to Rajasthan to address the
rising need of exporter- importer fraternity. Mr. Wadhawan while interacting with exporters in Jaipur suggested

Interactive meeting with Mr. Paban K. Borthakur, IAS, Chairman, APEDA
WTC officials got an opportunity to welcome and interact with Mr. Paban K. Borthakur, IAS, Chairman, APEDA
(Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) during his recent visit to Jaipur on
11th December 2019. Mr Borthakur was in Jaipur to interact with industry and address the concerns of
exporters in the State. APEDA is an apex body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of
India, responsible for the export promotion of agricultural products and was established by the Government of
India under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act in 1985.
It was a welcome move as a large number of exporters were able to engage in a healthy discussion with Mr.
Borthakur and understand government’s view to promote agricultural exports from the country. It was significant

Department, interacted with the organizing committee and visited the Jaipur Jewellery Show on Sunday, 21st
December 2019.

During the interaction, Mr. Vimal C. Surana, Chairman, Organizing Committee, Jaipur Jewellery Show,
elaborated about how this show was conceptualized. Jaipur, a planned old city built almost 250 years ago, also
known as the Pink City, is now a world heritage city approved by UNESCO, is built around various bazaars and
chowks with special places given to various artists, artisans and crafts persons. The city built on such curated
art and culture has not only kept its old art, craft and charm alive but has also evolved from traditional to modern

MSMEWTC Jaipur joined hands with MSME Jaipur, Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) and Jaipur
Embroidery Textile Association to brainstorm and recommend solutions to address the arising needs of
industrial waste management and pollution caused from manufacturing activities at Sudarshanpura Industrial
Area, 22nd Godam area on 31st December 2019.
The event also commemorated a cleanliness drive to further the cause of a national movement “Swachh Bharat
Mission” initiated by Honourable PM, Mr. Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014 and mark the “150 years of
celebrating the Mahatma”. The drive also involved interacting with production managers of many manufacturing

Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Jodhpur RIFF) - October 2019Jodhpur RIFF is a 5-Day-Long celebration of Rajasthani art and culture right at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur's the Thar Desert. It is a charitable, non-profit partnership project of India's two biggest heritage trusts - Mehrangarh Museum Trust and Jaipur Virasat Foundation and also been recognized by the UNESCO as a People’s Platform for Creativity and Sustainable Development. The festival aimed to provide a platform to the Rajasthan's unheard talented artists and also to bring life and vigor to the Mehrangarh Fort. Since then, every year the Mehrangarh Fort (Asia's best Fort) sees the confluence of about 250 artists and musicians. The artists come from Rajasthan and also from all over the globe to be a part of this celebration. Maharaja of Jodhpur is the festival's chief patron, and Sir Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones is the international patron of Jodhpur RIFF.

Bundi Utsav, Bundi, Rajasthan - November 2019The Bundi Utsav comes each y e a r i n t h e m o n t h o f November-December to give a new life to the town of Bundi i n Ra jas than s ta te . An extravaganza of customs, traditions, and traditional art forms, the Bundi Utsav has it all for the visitors in terms of representing the cultural r ichness of the state of Rajasthan in general and that of the town of Bundi in particular. Traditional folk music and folk dance of the r e g i o n b e c o m e c e n t r a l attractions of the festival, whereas household indulges in preparing native handicrafts to be sold in stalls as a part of the larger celebration. Apart from the rich folk-art forms, one can witness jovial events like turban-binding competition, and moustache competitions as parts of the larger extravaganza of Bundi Utsav.

Winter Festivals, Mt. Abu, Rajasthan - December 2019Celebrated to showcase the warmth and culture of the people belonging to the only hill station in Rajasthan, this festival is held over a period of three days in December 2019. The event is marked by processions all over town, fo l lowed by a range o f competitions, folk dance and music and dazzling fireworks to celebrate the spirit of the town. A unique combination of divine hospitality and exotic location attracts a large number of tourists during the festival days.
