The 22-year-old toll booth operator Umeshkant Pandey on the Gurgaon Expressway on Thursday midnight was in the booth number 11 at toll plaza at the Kherki Dhaula (42nd Milestone) toll plaza on the Expressway when a man, driving a cream coloured Mahindra Bolero shot him dead after Pandey did not allow them to go since they had not paid the tax . NEW DELHI: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) (represented by Avinash Dikshit; Commissioner) and Goethe- Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan (represented by Heiko Sievers, Regional Director) in New Delhi on Saturday. It was signed in the presence of E Ahamed, Minister of State; Human Resource Development and Cornelia Gurgaon toll plaza staff shot dead as he asked for Rs 27 . .The argument apparently started when the driver insisted that he is allowed to go free as he was from a local village. With such permission to localites provided they showed proper identification, Pandey asked him to show his ID and then let him go by lifting the boom barrier. He had closed the booth's window by then. But CCTV camera footage shows the car driver asked him to open the window and then shot him in the chest from a point blank range (see pics). Since there was a lot of notice due to vehicular traffic, no one noticed the killing. The incident came to light only when a truck driver behind the Bolero informed this to the staff of Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DGSCL). Pandey was rushed to Medanta-The Medicity hospital, where he died minutes later. Police has since seized the CCTV footage and is now trying to trace the vehicle and the people sitting in it. The CCTV did not shoot the registration number plate of the car and hence the cops are finding it initially difficult to move but they say they will crack the case soon The incident came to light only when a truck driver behind the Bolero informed this to the staff of Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Limited (DGSCL). TEAM NEWS 24X7 LUCKNOW: The Lucknow division of the Northern Railways (NR) has found a unique and ‘cheap’ way of commemorating October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. The cash rich division has announced cash prizes of Rs 1100, Rs 750 and Rs 500 for winners of a 'rare and unique photograph' competition based on the Mahatma. According to the PRO of NR Vimal Sharma this prize would be given to the top three entrants in an exhibition exhibition of Mahatma's pictures open for Lucknow residents that would be part of an exhibition - Gandhi and Railways that would be organized at the Computer Reservation Center building at the Charbagh railway station between October 2 and 5. .
