Kairos is here! Touching Heavens Changing Earth!

There are seven Jewish festivals: Passover, Un-leavened Bread, First-fruits, Pentecost, Shofar, Atonement and Tabernacles. One may study these Feasts based on three keys: Firstly, time of encounter between God and man.God instructed the Israelites about the Feasts and yet the Israel-ites generally are not so aware of these feasts pointing them to God’s historical plans and desti-ny. Luke 19:42-44 – As Jesus approaching the city of Jerusalem, He saw the city, He wept and said, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visita-tion.” (Luke 19:41-44) Secondly, Jesus’ first coming fulfilled four feasts; Passover (His suffering), the Unleavened Bread (His crucifixion to cleanse sin), First fruits (His resurrection), Pentecost (coming of the Holy Spirit). Thirdly, Feasts of Shofar, Atonement & Tabernacles are generally be-lieved to be linked to Jesus’ second coming.

The harvest season has arrived via this Passover Feast! These consecu-tive two evangelistic meetings fall on interesting dates. Passover Feast is preceded by its Passover dinner, and the 2nd day is called the Unleav-ened Bread Feast and in the Roman context is called Good Friday, both coincided on 4th & 5th April 2015. Feast of First Fruits is corresponding to the Easter Resurrection Sunday, also the Ching Ming Festival. For 2015, the Jewish Feast days, the Roman Christian festival and even the Chinese Lunar festival days, all fall on the same days. These sort of rep-resenting the fact that the divine and the earthly time tables are con-nected, thus signifying the Kairos of God’s time is breaking into our earthly time schedules.

Passover commemorates the deliverance of God for the Israelites, ena-bling them to pass over the trials in Egypt and God’s judgment released against Egypt. God in the OT called on Israelites to keep the Passover Feast, and made it an eternal statute, because God desires that His peo-ple would remember Him as the God who loved them for all genera-tions, and who delivered them out of slavery and destruction.

The blood of the Passover Lamb empowered the Israelites to escape the angel of death. And today, Jesus is the Passover Lamb, His blood accom-plished redemption in our lives, surpassing death. To keep Passover Feast is effectively remembering Lord Jesus' redemptive power on the cross. Every details in the Passover Feast Day point to Jesus, because if we were to strike the Blood of Jesus on the lintel and doorposts of our life, then we will be freed from the destructive plan of the Devil.

The Ching Ming Festival is a day when traditionally Chinese remembered their deceased forefathers. But for us, we know Jesus had already been resurrected, having overcome death and thus taken the authority over hell and He became the only way, the truth and life. We must arise to proclaim resurrection, that the power of life shall overcome the forces of death.

The GA611 two-nights Evangelistic Harvest open meetings and Sunday First-Fruits services cover all these days. We shall declare God’s power during Passover Feast to carry us over all our past, whilst declaring the power of the cross for total redemption and healing through Jesus’ suffering, and more so on Jesus’ Resurrection Sunday to rejoice and cele-brate His resurrection and great victory over death, bringing to us all the hope of eternal life!

I strongly discern God’s Feast Days clearly declare the time as His harvest season, also a time of touching heavens and changing the earth! Let us all give our utmost to preach the Gospel, watch and pray over our rela-tives and friends on your VIP card, and determined to bring them into God’s Kingdom, allowing the salvation of Lord Jesus to enter every fami-ly. ■

The Ministry of Jesus

Essence of Sunday SermonEssence of Sunday Sermon

Mark 1-4 ◎Rev. Esther Kong

1. Serving with Power Authority, also known as Exousia in Greek, refers to power, authority, rights, freedom, dominance and might. Jesus represents the authori-ty of God. And when there is the existence of God's authority, there is the birth of a new realm. This sets the two realms to warfare. As God's authority battles with the power of darkness, it also signifies a battle between the two realms. However the power of Jesus super-sedes the natural realm (Mark 4:25-41), it goes far beyond unclean spirits, sickness and death. (Mark 5:35-43)

The sources of the anointing of power: a) The Authority of God's Words (Mark 1:21-22)

Jesus taught the people in the synagogue with the word of God. When the word of God is released, power is released. And all of these become unstoppable.

b) The Authority of Jesus (Mark 1:23-27) When Jesus was in the synagogue, there was a person who was de-mon possessed. The demon recognized immediately that Jesus was the son of God. So when Jesus ordered the demon to leave, the de-mon fled instantly. Jesus has the authority of deliverance.

When Jesus arrived at the home of Simon and Andrew, Simon’s mother in law was healed instantly upon the touch of Jesus. All it took was one touch, and the power of healing was released.

2. Order with Authority (Mark 2:1-12) Jesus has the authority of forgiveness from sin (Mark 2:10), therefore during the confrontation of power, authority (Exousia) is manifested. And this authority allows miracles to happen. Serving without au-thority does not bring about miracles. Only by faith, can man receive authority and experience the power of God.

3. Facing the Enemy’s Destruction (Mark 3:1-6) When the power of God intervenes, there will be obvious break-throughs. Even the destructive work of the enemy becomes obvious. In circumstances such as these, people who are bound by the forces of darkness will feel uneasy. However this is the time to be still, do not run away, instead stay in Christ and let Christ break the bondag-es.

The enemy is always using man to accuse God’s work. Should we judge the works of God with criticism, it shows that we possess the spirit of spying and accusing, thus making us the ally of the enemy. In this case we’ll be unable to receive God’s blessings. The power of Jesus supersedes the destruction of the enemy, and so man will still be healed. (Mark 3:5)

4. Serving with Disciples a) The Influence of Work (Mark 3:13-19)

Jesus took his disciples along to serve in his ministry so that his disciples could inherit everything he had. Only with disciples, can the spiritual assets and ministry be expanded and passed down. Though Jesus’ ministry mainly took place in Israel, his disciples’ spread his ministry all over the world.

b) Disciples need to be Trained From the book of Mark, chapter 4, we can see the way Jesus trained his disciples. i) Start by listening (Mark 4:3-9)

To become a disciple, incline your ear to listen.

ii) Private Training (Mark 4:10-12) The outsiders (meaning the scribes and the Pharisees) only had in mind to spy on Jesus and find an opportunity to catch him; therefore Jesus did not explain his parables to them. Instead he explained to his disciples in private.

iii) Becoming Good Soil (Mark 4:14-20) Disciples need to become good soil, so that when they hear the word of God, they’ll be able to bear fruit of 30, 60, and 100 fold.

5. Even the Natural Realm Obeys God is in power; even the winds and waves obey His authority. We should have complete faith in Jesus, because He is on our boat (Mark 4:35-38), He rebukes the winds and the waves (Mark 4:39), therefore

we only need to believe in faith (Mark 4:40-41). ■【This sermon

Pray that God will grant our church leaders the spirit of wisdom and strategy, so that they’re able to handle and execute God’s ministry and mission.

churches. May we receive the Holy Spirit’s anointing this season, and spread the gospel of God’s kingdom. Let us heal and deliver those in need with God’s authority.

4. Nation Pray that God will protect our country from the terrorism of ISIS, and

grant our government the wisdom and justice to take precautions.

5. Individual Pray for the salvation of our families and friends. Ask God to release the

authority to witness Jesus through our prayers.

Materials for this week’s altar building:

As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. And wherever he went—into villages, towns or coun-tryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed. (Mark 6: 54-56)

1. Israel Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address to the U.S. Congress has

received international attention. He requests that the security interests of Israel and the Middle East be taken into account when it comes to the imposition of foreign policies. As U.S. has been Israel’s long-time ally, pray that God will continue to take control of this relationship, and safe-guard the friendly relations between the two.

Pray that the Middle East will not be caught in the race of nuclear arms. (Jeremiah 49:35-39 – To stop Iran; Psalm 45:1-6)

God will anoint our church with the Holy Spirit and power, so that we can witness the gospel of God.
