THE THEME FOR THE 2019 TWINS DAYS FESTIVAL

“HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS”

Twins Days has become, in a sense, its own holiday. It’s a special time each year

when twins gather together with friends and family to celebrate the special bond

twins share. In celebration of this, the Twins Days Festival Committee proudly

announces this year’s festival theme...Twins Days 2019: “Home For The Holidays”.

This year’s theme encourages everyone to celebrate and dress up for their favorite

holidays! Whether you enjoy one of many U.S. holidays, your birthday, a holiday from

around the world, a fun and obscured holiday such as Pi Day, or the Twins Days

Festival itself, the countdown is on to show us your holiday spirit at Twins Days 2019!

WELCOME TO THE NEW TWINS DAYS FESTIVAL INSIDER!

Over the past several months the

festival committee has been very busy

enhancing the new festival website,

creating a robust, user friendly, and

easy to navigate experience where you

can find everything you need to know

about the Twins Days Festival. (And it’s

mobile friendly too!)

Now twins and multiples can pre-

register for the festival, order group

photos, and become a program patron,

apply for the twins talent show, Royal

Court, Golf Outing, and scholarships,

and much more...ALL ONLINE!

Now that the website has been

improved, the envelope packets will

no longer be mailed out as they have

in the past. However, you will receive

this informational self-mailer. Reducing

the mailing costs allows the festival

committee to put those funds to work

to make the Twins Days Festival a fun

and memorable event.

The Twins Days Twins Golf Outing is back and will be held on

Friday, August 2nd, teeing off at 9:00 a.m. This year the outing

will be benefiting the Humane Society of Summit County, which

is located in Twinsburg. The outing will be held at Twinsburg’s

beautiful and brand new Gleneagles Golf and Banquet Club, and

the outing is open to everyone...not just twins! Be sure join us to

In accordance with local ordinances

no overnight parking (RV or otherwise)

will be permitted in the parking lots,

on the festival grounds, or anywhere

else throughout the City of Twinsburg.

P A R K I N G & G A T E A D M I S S I O N

Preferred parking is available at

Twinsburg High School and Dodge

Intermediate School at a cost of

$3 per day for cars and $5 per day

for motor homes and buses. Gate

admission for non-twins, and non-

registered twins, is $4; children 5

years and under are free.

C R E D I T C A R D S

VISA, MASTER CARD, and DISCOVER

are accepted for purchases at the

official souvenir and twin registration

booths during the festival. Cash,

personal checks, cashier’s checks,

traveler’s checks, and money orders

will also be accepted.

A T M M A C H I N E S

There are ATM machines available on

the festival grounds. These machines

are provided as a courtesy to our

guests. Twins Days DOES NOT benefit

from the ATM transaction fees. The

fees are collected by the ATM vendor.

O N - S I T E R E N T A L S

Lockers and wagons are available

to rent at the festival site. There is a

very limited number of wheelchairs

available for rent. There are no

motorized scooters or chairs. If

you require one, please make

arrangements to bring your own.

They are located outside the main

for riding all day on the day they are

TWINS DAYS FESTIVAL 5K RUN AND FUN WALKThe Twins Days 5K run/walk is back!

Proceeds for this event will be donated

to Empower Sports, a nonprofit

organization committed to providing

sports and exercise programs for

children and adults with various

physical and cognitive disabilities.

T-shirts will be provided for the first

500 entrants.

to the festival you’ll get $5 off the

Twins Days Pre-registration Drawing for

HOTELS AND ACCOMMODATIONSThere are several hotels/motels and

campgrounds in the area that support

the Twins Days Festival. Twins Days

does not make hotel reservations, nor

recommend any specific hotel. To find

a hotel or campground within a 10-15

minute drive of the festival grounds, you

can search for hotels in the following

cities: Twinsburg, Streetsboro, Aurora,

Macedonia, Beachwood, Oakwood,

and Solon. We recommend you make

reservations early.

NO PETS OR ANIMALS ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDSAbsolutely no pets or animals of any

kind will be allowed on the festival site,

either inside or outside of the of the

admission gate. The only exceptions are

service animals that are ADA compliant

and specifically trained to assist the

physically challenged. Twinsburg is much

too hot in August for you to leave your

pets in your car. To prevent any problems,

please DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS.

Sandusky, Ohio is offering a deep discount for all registered twins! Discount

coupons are only valid July 31–August 11, 2019.

The Cedar Point Amusement Park discount coupon admission is $37 (plus tax).

Can you imagine you and your twin serving as Twins Days Festival ambassadors

spreading cheer and goodwill throughout the festival weekend? Can you imagine

the thrill of being crowned for this year’s Royal Court? We can!

The Twins Days Festival Committee is seeking twins to serve on the 2019

Royal Court! Please visit TwinsDays.org to apply. Please read the requirements

and guidelines carefully. Applications must be submitted by June 20th to be

considered. The selected applicants will be notified by Twins Days.

TWINS DAYS SCHOLARSHIPS The Twins Days Festival Committee is taking applications for the Twins Days

Twins Scholarships and the Twins Days Andrew R. Miller Memorial Scholarship. These

applications must be submitted online by June 20th to be eligible.

The Twins Scholarship awards $1,000 each to a set of twins that meet the

requirements. The Andrew R. Miller Memorial Scholarship awards $1,500 to one

individual entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of post-secondary education. The

selected recipients will be notified by telephone. The scholarship monies will

be made payable to your account at the school of your choice. Both of these

scholarships will be presented at the festivities on Friday evening prior to the

Wiener Roast” held at the Twinsburg High

School, 10084 Ravenna Road, adjacent to

the festival site. This event is ONLY open

to PRE-REGISTERED and REGISTERING

TWINS, and their families. The event is

NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC or

MEDIA. If you have not yet preregistered,

you will be able to register at this

event. The cost of a hot dog dinner for

registered twins is FREE. For non-twins

there is a $2 per person charge.

Twins that are already pre-registered may

pick up their registration packets and

admission bracelets, avoiding long lines at

the festival site on Saturday and Sunday.

T WINSBURG HISTORICAL SO CIET Y AND MUSEUMThe Twinsburg Historical Society is opening its doors for a

special open house on Friday, August 2nd from 2:00 p.m. to

5:00 p.m. This will be a great opportunity for the out of town

twins and their families to see some of Twinsburg’s history.

Visitors will have an opportunity to delve into the history of the

place where it all began, and see the Aaron and Moses Wilcox

Twins items on display!

The Mail Pouch Barn will be open, too, with its signature Mail

Pouch painting, and wonderful Barn Quilt, one of the few in

Northeast Ohio that graces the front of the building. Inside

you will find old fashioned farm implements, horse stalls, and

the original tombstone of the Wilcox Twins. After all without

the Wilcox twins there would be no Twinsburg or Twins Days!

This is family friendly and, as always, everyone is welcome!

T WINSBURG HISTORICAL SO CIET Y AND MUSEUMThe Twinsburg Historical Society is opening its doors for a

special open house on Friday, August 2nd from 2:00 p.m. to

5:00 p.m. This will be a great opportunity for the out of town

twins and their families to see some of Twinsburg’s history.

Visitors will have an opportunity to delve into the history of the

place where it all began, and see the Aaron and Moses Wilcox

Twins items on display!

The Mail Pouch Barn will be open, too, with its signature Mail

Pouch painting, and wonderful Barn Quilt, one of the few in

Northeast Ohio that graces the front of the building. Inside

you will find old fashioned farm implements, horse stalls, and

the original tombstone of the Wilcox Twins. After all without

the Wilcox twins there would be no Twinsburg or Twins Days!

This is family friendly and, as always, everyone is welcome!
