Student Run for Charity One of our Applied Music students will be running the River Ness 10K on 24th September for Scottish Association for Mental Health. James Grieve will be running the 10k to raise awareness of mental health in young people and let people know that you should not suffer in silence when it comes to mental health. Mental Health is a topic that we can all relate to and it would be great if we could see as much support as possible for James' efforts to help make a difference to people suffering with mental health problems. Below is the link to James's Just Giving page if you would like to make a donation https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/JamesGrieveSAMH…

Skills and Employability Award Through the Skills & Employability Award you can gain recognition for a range of activities you take part in, which are additional to your studies. It helps you identify the skills you gain through these activities and provides evidence you can share with employers. stand out from the crowd; demonstrate the skills you have; prepare for a real interview; impress prospective employers. The award is additional to your studies therefore academic credit will not be gained from participating in it. This shows that you are doing the award because you want to and understand the benefits you will reap from doing so and not because you have to; a quality which will impress employers!
