VIM plus AOG & RG – Contributor role – user guide Introduction

What is it? (1/2) The Vendor Information Manual plus Aircraft On Ground and Repair Guide is a web-based tool enabling relevant Supplier Support contact details, including repair stations, spare stock locations and distributors to be stored and updated on-line by Suppliers. This information is provided in real time to Airbus Customers on AirbusWorld. The service objective is to update Contact Data for Supplier Support Activities for our Customers with the following benefits; • Provide up to date contact information to Airbus Customers; • Market Suppliers geographic support capabilities; • Meet Airbus Component Data Instruction Manual requirements (CDIM).

VIM plus AOG & RG – Contributor role – user guide Introduction

What is it? (2/2) Suppliers provide data as part of their contractual commitment to assist customers to contact them for in-service support, ordering spares, repairs etc... this data is then published by Airbus in the Vendor Information Manual (VIM). This was expanded for US support activities to include Part Number information AOG-RG. Previously, suppliers faxed changes to Airbus who made revisions to the VIM.

This service enhances this process by enabling suppliers to make direct updates, whilst also expanding the data to include the repair and stock locations for each region, North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia... for individual LRUs and components.
