The sections as reported in the following pages are by no means recommended stages . Every

walker should establis his own pace and decide where to stop. We strongly recommend booking at

least a week in advance ,especially on pilgrim type accomodations.

FROM CERVIGNANO RAILROAD STATION TO AQUILEIA

Coming out of r/r station turn right in Viale Stazione ,continue straight on Via Roma all the way to

traffic light on Piazza Unita d'Italia. From here on the right you can look at the river and small

harbour ,but we continue on the left onto Via Aquileia on the cycle path. After the roundabout it will

became Via Giulia Augusta continue till the steel bridge of Terzo d'Aquileia. After the bridge we

turn righton cycle path till the Aquileia Basilica , going straight after the Roman Forum on the

unpaved road Via sacra.

AQUILEIA-AIELLO DEL FRIULI (20 KM )

First yellow arrow in front of the Domus Augusta Hostel,keep right on Via Roma till traffic light.

Cross the street the turn left toward the Basilica (yellow arrow on stone on the ground on the

left).Follow yellow arrow to the entrance of the river-harbour ,open after 8.30 am. Cross the stret

and continue on via Salvemini ,then turn right to Piazza Pirano (museum) then turn left taking the

path next to the vineyard,keeping on the right of it until you get on the river bank.

Follow it until the little bridge where we'll turn left on paved road till the fork ,where the yellow

arrow will direct us to the right on unpaved path,that we'll follow untill a little house where we turn

left and proceed to Terzo d'Aquileia (5 km ) on Via Stazione .

Keep straight at traffic light crossing the river till the Town Hall on Via 2 Giugno.

Past the San Biagio church cross the street ten proceed on Piaza Europa and Via Curiel.

Continue on the right ( bar and food shops ) to Via Kennedy,then turn left ,up to the stop sign where

we turn right on Via della Fontana till the guard rail (trees on the left ) where we'll continue on the

unpaved path up to a fork where we'll turn right .

Keep straight till after the scout camp,where the path bends to the left passing the bridge .

Continue on Via Predicort then turn left on Via Volta till the stop sign where we turn left on Via

Capola. At first crossing turn right on via della Badia and then left on Via Mercato and then second

right on Via Gorgo.

When we reach the river bank turn right up to bridge (km 6 ), we are in Cervignano del Friuli.

After the bridge turn left on Via XXIV Maggiodirection Via Martiri della Liberta' and the right on

Via Sarcinelli.

Turn right on Via demanio then left on Via Molinaris up to the underpass, continue on via Galilei

and right on Via Malignani ,where we take the cycle way up to Via Julia Augusta in Strassoldo ,then

turn right to the Castle . Here enter Via dei Castelli and continue to the mill on SP108 (Via

Gradisca). Turn on the main road ( Caution ! ). At the post ' Localita' Novacco ' turn right on the

path and keep straight at the fork. At the end we have a left turn on Via Antonini ,then Via Petrarca

and left on Via cavour then straight on to the Aiello church ,where we can have overnight

accomodation.

Aquileia : Often referred to as the ' second Rome' ,was founded in 181 a.c. And become rapidly

avery important town due to its strategic position. Basilica ,Roman Forum,river Harbour,museums.

Strassoldo : Beautifu medieval village with a spectacular castle .

Aiello del Friuli : Interesting Novacco hamlet with the antique water mill dating back to the 15th

century , is now know as the village of Sundials.

AIELLO DEL FRIULI – PORPETTO (KM 21 )

From Via Genova Cavalleria , with the sundial in front of us, go traight in Via Nievo then on an

unpaved path on the side of fields then left toward the cemetery. The sttraight thru the field to via

Garibaldi. Go to the church and then right on Via Leonardo da Vinci ,right again on second

crossroad onto a nice path ,keep left on two forks ,till road SP65 , turn right and continue parallel to

motorway till you arrive in Privano, then take a road leading to an overpass where you'll continue

straight on gravel .

Turn left on gravel to via Matteotti ,outside the city walls of Palmanova ,turn right then first left of

outside wall then left on path of internal walls and keep straight to the entrance door.

We enter Palmanova from Borgo Cividale ,cross the main square , then exit from Borgo Udine.

We now take first path on the left till the entrance of the WW1 cemetery. Here turn right the left

keeping cemetery wall on your left up to Via Palmada where we turn right. After the bridge it

becomes Via Palmanova and we turn right on gravel path. After a section parallel to motorway keep

on path on your left ( yellow arrows on back of road signs ) up to Via Udine then straight on to San

Giorgio church.Turn right on Via Vaat ,then on Via Madonna della Salute .

After little bridge turn left and continue till the unpaved ,turn first on your left then continue until

the path next to the motorway ,continue with pond on your left up to Via Marinelli , then turn left on

Via Castello and then tto the right in Via Verdi . (In case of road works ,it's possible to turn before

the poplars on the left then turn right to enter the village).

Pamanova : City fortress going back to 1593 ,it's called the star city due to its nine-points star

layout. Beautiful Duomo.

PORPETTO _ PRECENICCO ( KM 24 )

Continue on via Minzoni then turn left on Via Roma , continue on via Garibaldi then right on Via

della Fratta till the roundabout at the entrance of Chiarisacco. Turn right on Via Chiarisacco and

proceed to Piazza della Fontana passing the wood bridge ,then left under the main road to the

parking. Turn right passing the road then on the cycle path entering San Giorgio di Nogaro on Via

Europa Unita. Continue , then turn left on Via Roma to The church on Piazza Plebiscito ( km 4 )

Turn right on Via Maxx di Montegnacco till the right bent to Via Marconi then take the cycle path

under the railway. Keep on via Marittima then turn on Via Coronis Alta then right on Via Pralungo

till the left turn on Via Wasserman. You are entering the village of Carlino.

Turn right on Via San Giorgio till the church ( km 5 ). Turn right on Via Marano for few hundred

metres the turn right on Via Strada Viatte. Street turns unpaved ,keep straight.

At first fork keep on the leftand continue up to Strada Savalona . Turn left then right on first trail ,

keeping straight up to few buildings on the right , keep left then turn right on Strada Bosco Bando .

Keep straight ,pass the bush and pass the bridge on the canal , entering the village.

In Via Lamarutto keep straight,at te stop sign turn right on Via Fornaci,continue ,then ,after the R/R

underpass turn left on Via stazione (km 12).

Continue on Via dell' Emigrante then left on Via Roma . Stay on it , then pass the bridge then left on

Via Brian. Continue on cycle path until the village ,then after Piazza Roma take Via dei Cavalieri

Teutonici then Via Lignano and Via Pra' della Narda .

PRECENICCO- LATISANA ( km 17 )

Continue on Via Pra della Narda ,turn left on first unpaved road on the river bank all the way to Via

dai Vieris Narda then right on Via Armentarezza .

Turn firsl left on Via Sterpatti ,continue to the end then left on Via Paludo,pass via Lovaria then turn

right on the fourth path and continue to Gorgo. Continue straight on at traffic light then Via Manin

till the church. There turn right after the cemetery,aiming at the enbankement on River Tagliamento.

On the bank turn right , pass Via Tomadini ,follow the right bent up to Via Sabbionera entering

Latisana. People willing to continue ,cross the bridge and in via Sabbionera you find indications to

turn left on the bridge.

LATISANA- CONCORDIA SAGITTARIA ( KM 24 )

After crossing the bridge over the river Tagliamento , turn left on Via Marango then right on Via

Marco Polo ,left in Via Gobbato then right on via Giovanni XXIII. Keep on it till you turn left on

Corso del Popolo. then right on Via Dante Alighieri. Left on Via Einaudi then right on via

Comugne. Keep straight on till you find a yellow arrow on guard rail to the left on Via Reganazzo

paved at the beginning ,then after a short unpaved bit, go back to paved and turn right then right

again after the bridge , then straight to the dump ( km 5 ).

After the dump turn left then follow trail till the pavement ,turn right then immediately to the left on

first path thru the fields ( cross the gate ) ; when you reach a tree turn right aiming at the bell tower

of Giussago.

When you reach paved road , turn left then second on the right Via Taliercio then via Tobagi and

right on via Pertini. In front of the cafe' ( km 8) turn left toward bell tower then continue on Via

Mocenogo toward the cemetery , turn left on first gravel path toward a group of old houses on the

left , and continue to Via Serrai . Turn right up to a few houses with parking lot , where you have to

turn left and then left again on unpaved shaded road.

Keep straight on then turn right on via Confine passing in front of the radar installation.

At the canal turn left on Via Nogaredo till the first bridge ,turn right then right in front of the

military camp , follow the course of the canal end ,after a curb on the left , turn left again in the

direction of village.

At the stop sign turn right on via Aquileia till the river Lemene , cross the bridge , turn right toward

the basilica then left on central square.

CONCORDIA SAGITTARIA- MOTTA DI LIVENZA ( KM 32 )

With the basilica on your back ,cross the street then right on Via San Pietro,left on Via Spareda and

then right on via Sagitta. Continue on Via Basse ,via Pontecasai to the end then turn left on via

Arzinutti . Then left at first crossing then left again after bridge with arrow on a shaded road till

the end then right after a house ,left toward the river then twice to the right , yellow arrows on guard

rail and on back of street sign.

Continue straight on Via Torba till the bridge on Loncon River (km 10) turn right then left on first

crossing, go to the end of the road crossing Via Condulmerr (nice cafe' on other side of the road ).

Turn right and continue parallel to main road on Via Condulmer ,then at a left curb turn right then

left following the enbankment. On Via tre Ponti turn left and continue , pass the roundabout then

turn right on Via Vanoni ,left on Via Annia till the enbankment of Livenza River.

On the left you can have overnight accomodation , we continue on Via Zoccat ,then right on Via

Stazione and left then on Via de Filippo.

Right on Via delle Rose then immediately left on the cycle path. Keep right on Via Gonfi to the bell

tower ( km 4 ). In front of the church continue on via Fratelli Martina ,Corso del Donatore and Via

Marconi to the pedestrian bridge.

After the bridge will follow the river bank to the dam ,crossing the bridge on pedestrian bridge then

straight on via Treviso , Via Cascata then left on via Furlana to the church of Lorenzaga (km 6 ).

Go on river bank on Via Saccon di Lorenzaga and continue on cycle path to the iron bridge at the

entrance of Motta di Livenza .Left on the bridge ,left again after then right going down to the

harbour. Take ramp on via Squero , left to the dome ,enjoy the beautiful town center then Via Borgo

Gerolamo Aleandro and Viale della Madonna.

MOTTA DI LIVENZA – LEVADA DI PONTE DI PAVE ( KM 17 )

From the Hospital continue on Via Bello after the Sanctuary on the left, continue on cycle path up

to a park space, cross it and continue after rundabout then ,after bridge on River Manticano, turn

right and follow the river .

Go straight to Via Sala di Sotto then Via de Gasperi then again on Via Sala di Sotto up to main road

SP 19 ,turn right ,cross river and continue -very carefully – on main road .

Go on pedestrian left side ,then after underpass enter Monticano park (km 5 ).

Path on left then right on river bank till after the industry park , at the bridge keep straight on the

path up to a fork where we'll stay on the right following the path with trees.

Continue to Via le Basse , at the crossing right on via Comunale di Fratta toward the church.

Pass the church and take small path onto the enbankment ,continue on the bank till the second

bridge then turn left entering Oderzo in front of the Duomo (km 7).

On the left of Duomo , from Piazza Grande take Via Mazzini then turn left on Via Garibaldi where

you'll meet the cycle path after a newstand. Continue on cycle path till the end then turn on Via

Fornase . After two houses turn right on cycle path till a traffic light after a big roundabout ,where

you'll turn left on Via Comunale di Rustigne'. Keep straight and in front of the church turn right on

Via Levada , straight on Via Postumia di Rustigne' , continue after the roundabout till the crossing

with Via della Vittoria ( Km 5 )

What to see:

Oderzo : Goes back to 11th

century bc ,then part of Roman Republic in 49 bc .Don't miss the duomo

From Via della Vittoria then Via Chiodo, at Via Grassaghella turn right. Straight on till main road,

cross it then continue on cycle path entering Ponte di Piave.

Just before the Carabinieri station turn left till parking lot then keep straight on Via Borgo Ticino

until Viale Veneto then right on cycle path to Salgareda (km 8 ).

Keep straight on cyclepath till Veneto Banca, go on other side of the road, continue on cycle path

the at roundabout turn raight on Via Conche,then Via Romanziol. Keep straight till Via Sant'

Antonio (cafe' and restaurant ) , turn right and take the path ( km 4 ). Straight to the gravel path on

enbankment , turn left toward the bell tower of Noventa di Piave. After the underpass keep on the

higher part of enbankment ,then at river park descen on right then left on the trail leading to city

entrance . ( Use this entrance if you are planning to spend the night here ).

Continue on the trail , becoming shaded after a few hundred metres ,till the end , cross main road

turn right toward the toll bridge (km 6 ) , pass the river then follow the road ,right curbe, then at the

end of the climb , left on enbankment Via Gonfo.

Continue straight on Via Treviso till the stop sign on SP50, keep straight on Via Croce toward bell

tower then Via Bosco to the end ,Via Morosina crossing the industrial section ,then left on Via

Emilia, till Via Mincio.

Turn left on via Case Bianche toward Musile di Piave ,then turn right on Via Martiri till a small

chapel , where you'll turn left on Via Intestadura. In case of need you can turn left on Via XXIX

Aprile for shops and services.

MUSILE DI PIAVE- CASALE SU SILE (KM 29)

Otherwise keep straight and turn right on Via Piave Vecchia then cycle path on enbankment till

Caposile (km 6). Here we turn left crossing the boat bridge.Turn right on Via Salsi untill the end of

the lagoon where we'll find the harbour of Portegrandi (km10).

Pass the bridge and turn right.

Continue along the river Sile ,then after the left curbe ,follow cycle path then left on Via Trieste (

two possible accomodations,one on the trail,the other a few hundred meters away ).

Keep straight , pass the church ,then ,at the end of cycle path turn right climbing an unpaved trail.

Here starts the Sile cycle path ,that we will follow untill Via Roma in Quarto d Altino (km 10 )

Here we leave the enbankment and stay on cyle path in Via Roma ,then Via San Michele till the

fork with Via Riviera Fornaci, keep right and follow the river till Via Scheo (turn left for shop and

services )

CASALE SUL SILE – QUINTO DI TREVISO (KM 25 )

From Via Scheo follow the river untill Via San Nicolo' ,keep straight , then turn right on Via

Belvedere ,left on Via Garibaldi and right on Via Nuova Trevigiana Casale.

On cycle path pass first roundabout , then turn right on Via Vicinale Rivalta for a few hundred

metres ,then left at first crossing following sign for Ciclovia del Sile (Sile cycle path ).

Follow cycle path to Via Saccon and turn left to the bell tower of Lughignano church.

Turn right on Via Chiesa then after left curbe turn left again following the cycle path to Casier (

km 5) and stay on river bank till Via Tappi, turn right then right again on bridge , ten left on

Villarazzo will start. In front of the church ( km3) turn right turn left on the path , pass the bridge ,

then left following the river . Continue along the river then left on Via San Pietro then right on Via

Molinare.

Left in Via Castello then left again in Via Marconi till the traffic light. Turn right on Via Grande .

Out of town ,continue after rail crossing ,then left in Via Motte.

Now take first path on the right ( arrow ).

Continue then left on Viottolo Cacciatore ,continue on Via Postumia and after on Viottolo Postumia

, then take to the right at the 'right of way ' post.

Left on Via dei Martiri, then first right on Vicolo Marmolada.

In front pf the house turn left and follow the trail , Via terminetto , straight then first path on the

right ,passing in front of white house (number 3 ) , continue on the right till Via Ca Bertoncello

(km7) where we turn left and continue till Viale Europa.

Here we turn right ,right again on Via Sant Antonio then first path on your left till the end.

We turn left and cross Viale Europa. Cross main road and take path , right on Via Roma all the way

to the church where you'll turn left on Via Marconi ( first on the right after the little square ).

At right of way post turn left on Via Villetta and right on Via San Giacomo .

In front of Santiago chapel turn right on Via Villetta till the station entrance . Now turn left on Via

Malzone , at roundabout right on Va Asiago then first right on Via Sommavilla.

At traffic light continue on Via Mantegna. Take third in the right Via Boschetto then first path on

the left. Pay attention as path is not very visible at times.

Right after wharehouse keep trees on your left then turn left toward houses and main road.

Back on Via Mantegna right till the roundabout ,keep right and cross main road then left on first

path ( keep first tree on your right ). Then right before first houses to Via Tiso da Camposanpiero.

Turn left then first right on via Rometta ,then turn left after underpass on Via Borgo Treviso

We are now on center of the town of Vicenza.

Continue on Via Chinotto and the left in Contrada San Silvestro. At the traffic light ,going right

Continue after the Abbey,then turn right at first cross in Via Monte Grappa ,continue to second

ascent on the left , at fork take right then again at right taking Via Monte Corno ,continue on Via

XXV Aprile then left on Via Europa on the right .

Take left on Via Risorgimento and climb to the path on the right after the curbe (km 5 ).

This is the hardest bit of the stage, cyclist should take care ,or better , take the cyclist variant as

indicated on gpx track on our site.

In the woods be careful to continue toward the dog training area and Brendola Alta ,stay on main

path untill you meet logs laying in front of you and a triple fork. Take left and take centre path till

the dog kennels.

Continue straight to Case Bedin then left to get to Via dei Monti Comunali ,turn right and continue

downhill , at the fork take right ,facing the Rocca.

At the left curbe ,take the downhill on the right on Via Pio XII till the Brendola church (km 4) .

Facing the church take the stairs on the right ,then right in Vvia Roma and left on Via Firenze ,

cross the main road and continuestraight. Turn right on Via Dante Alighieri then turn left on the

little path in front of a house.

Continue on path, take the bridge on the canal, turn left and continue to the road,turn right then at

fork take left and continue on Via San Vito.

Continue uphill on the right till the church ,then follow Via Lampertico up to the water fountain ,

take right toward the houses ,enter the courtyard on the left then the downhill on the right .

Take left on Via Cavecchie ,then Via San Gaudenzi then turn right at first crossing toward Meledo.

Continue till Villa Alighieri on your right (km 5 ). Uphill left still on Via San Gaudenzio , take right

at fork and continue uphill to a path on your right (yellow arrows). At first fork take left and

continue on path following yellow arrows and white/red markers.

From path,back to the road take left the take right on Via Ca Lombarda ,then take right on Via

Meledo Alto then left on first fork (km 4).

On the path ,take left uphill ,then a shaded path on the right. At the end take right downhill on Via

Ca Vecchia the, after a curbe , left in front of a few houses.

Follow the unpaved path ,take left at fork ,continue uphill aiminga at the second house on the right.

Continue downhill to the right on Via Monte Coco. Straight on into Via Ca Vecchia , Via Monte

Calonghe and Via Monte Pimpo and after a series of hairpin turns take a path on the right .

Keep lower path till the paved road on Via Scaranto Sordina . Keep straight onto Via San Daniele

all the way to the parking lot in front of the convent. (km 7 ).

path on the left ,pass the road and turn right ,then first path on the left till the cemetery then take a

left on Via Guiotto till the entrance of the village (km 9).

At crossing take right on Via Lobbia Vicentina and , at exit of the town, take left on Strada della

Selva till entering town of Gazzolo. At roundabout continue on Via Chiesa then right on Via

Belvedere take overpass then at roundabout take left on Via Molinazzo till the center of Arcole .

At roundabout go right then left in Via Abazzea ,then right on Via Garibaaldi till the church of San

Giorgio ,then right in Via Rosario toward the obelisk.

After the bridge on the river go left on the enbankment and follow the cycle path.

At the main road turn right the immediately to left onto che Adige Cycle path .

Stay on it and pass over the dam on Leb Canal, till Via Porto,continue straight till the curbe on left

and follow in the direction of Zevio . At second canal go right on Via Magazzino Idraulico (km 13)

Continue on cyle path along the river , pass the dam and continue then left to Bosco Buri (km 13) ,

Pancrazio pass under the bridge and continue along the river to enter the town of Verona .

Past the bridge arc continue on Lungadige Galtarossa and , keeping always the river on your left ,

arrive at the bridge Ponte Scaligero.

At fork take right on Via Corne di Pastrengo . At the end turn left on Corne di Piovezzano and

continue till the overpass on motorway. Past the bridge go left to Localita Carlotte ,turn right and

after downhill take unpaved road on left ,then right on Strada Carlotte to some houses.

Continue on path to the bridge ,pass it end turn left ,a sharp u turn to the right to Strada della Croce .

Continue ,then left on Via Pergole to main road sp5 ,turn right and cross the road in front of the

church and continue downhill to the right then left in Strada delle Saline.

Continue downhill and take first on the left and aim for the church of Cola' di Lazise . Turn left on

Via Croce (traffic light ) an go to center of town (shops and services ) (km5).

At the end of uphill go right then left on Via Valle and continue on right major path, then left at iron

pole (arrows). Take path on side of vineyard ,straight to main road. Turn left on Strada delle Greghe

and straight into Via Mantovanella , Via Pigno and Strada del Robin till Via Comazzi. Take secon

on the right Via Staffalo (in front of Gardaland parking lot) (km3) and cross main road taking Via

Verdi to the lake side ,there turn left and continue to Peschiera.

At the bridge on Mincio river ,turn right and enter the town ,turn left on Piazza Ferdinando di

Savoia ,pass the church and take Via XXX Maggio to the city exit door on the left.

Pass the brige ,right in Via Milano then left in Via Borgo Secolo ,continue on Via Salvi then turn

right on Via Goito. Turn left on Via Monzambano ,continue on Via tintoretto ,cross the street ,pass

the bridge then turn left taking the cycle way. Follow the indication to the Santuario ,after curb on

left ,take path on opposite side to get to Santuario del Frassino (km7)

With your back to the Sanctuary turn left next to the cemetery then continue on cycle way till past

Via Santa Chiara . Turn left on Strada della Colombara and continue on path ,past Strada Peschiera ,

the at the end of vineyard take left ,pass a small ford . At BioAgriturismo Voion continue on Via del

Forte ,then left on Via XXV Aprile and straight on Via Roma.

Cross the hamlet Ponti sul Mincio and exit on Via Marconi, the left on main road ( attention !) , pass

first cross ,then first right and continue on path to the farm house. Continue straight then left on the

curb till a group of houses , in Strada San Pietro.

Continue till paved road, the left toward Monzambano . On main road take left then right at first

crossing , cross main road SP74 going uphill ,then left on Via Castello ,Via Vicolo Lungo and Via

Cavour ,untill Piazza del Comune (km 7,5)

Turn right on Via Marconi untill the fork , cross and take Via Belvedere till paved road ,take left

then left again on path ,take right after crossing the canal and continue on shaded alley.

At second bridge cross the canal and take right following yellow arrows .

At the fence of restaurant take left , then twice to the right , taking the Strada Tononi on the left.

Continue till main road ,turn right then left toward Cavour water park.

At the end turn right on Via Gobbini and at the fork go right on Via Ariano (km 5).

Pass the hamlet and keep left at first fork ,on path till next fork. Continue straight on ,next to

vineyard , going uphill then downhill with curbe on left. Take right ( curbe and wall ) and at paved

road take to the right and continue uphill after a curbe on the left ,up to the Madonnina chapel.

Path continues downhill , after double hairpin take to left to the main road.

Here turn right then left on Strada Gatti . After passing under one arch ,take to the left at fork ,right

onto a path ,then agai at right after a curbe. At fork take to the left toward a few houses ,pass them

on left then right on main road SP21 , immediately to left on the bridge (km 6,5).

Continue on path to water works ,take to the left and then first on right , straight on to the farm ,stay

on path till paved road , turn left passing little church ,then left at fork on paved road till stop sign.

Turn right on Strada le Fabbriche , Strada Lorenzina Costa ,then right on Strada Torre.

After curbe on right take path along the river and continue to Goito . All services . (km 8).

At fork continue straight on (Zerbio panel ) into Via Ponchielli.

Right on Via Matteotti . At fork continue straight ( toward brown panel with white arrow ) and

continue on this road till the church of San Lorenzo ( km 6).

Turn left and continue on bank ( panel Piacenza 10) . Continue then take a path on right ( panel

Divieto di Accessso ) up to the cemetery then turn left and continue passing in front of the church.

Take the underpass and turn right on main road ,next to a trattoria.

Continue on cycle way , cross bridge and turn right to the cemetery and pass under the motorway

,then take to the right stepping onto the enbankment.

Turn left and continue till the dam ( km 6 ).

Continue on this path till an old industrial building in metal,then turn left on very old paved road

till the village of Mortizza (km 7 ).

Turn left on Strada Mortizza ,then immediately to the right on via Botti till the playground.

Continue straight then right ,pass the church , then to the right into Via Finarda . After uphill take to

the left toward the railroadd bridge. Continue on this road ,pass under the bridge and conntinue

straight on next to the river till the dam in front.

There right on Via Nino Bixio following cycle path Via Po toward Sant Antonio ,till the Via

Pontiere , the arches in front and green bridge on left.

Take left and step on cycle way ,on bridge turn left and continue to traffic light ,straight on Viale

Turn at first path on right and continue to Gragnano Trebbiense ,thru Via Schiavi, Via Guerra

Lunga , left on Via Roma then right on Via Caselle thru hamlet Case Bianche .

Once in town follow road signs to Borgonovo Val Tidone ( km 8).

Proceed on pavement to main road SP11 and turn left to cross the bridge on river Tidone.

( pay attention as first part of SP 11 has no bank ) .

After bridge turn left toward Mottaziana ,continue straight to main road and to cemetery,turn left on

Via della Ghiacciaia and follow path leading to Breno and Bilegno.

Turn right to the vineyard ,then right again at first fork ,go down passing metal hutte .

At the group of trees turn right toward the road ,passing in front of little lake .

On main road turn left , pass Locanda San Lupo and continue to fork on left after guard rail ,then

continue onto the vineyards.

We are on large unpaved path ,turn right after second house ,to main road SP44 ,cross it and pass a

group of houses on he right . Continue downhill for a few metres ,turn right and left on path aiming

a house on right.

Pass the concrete little bridge ,straight on then left toward Ziano Piacentino (km6)

In town keep left on Via dei Mille toward a restaurant. Continue then left on a path in front of

privste prking space . On main road SP27 (right to agriturismo Racemus ) cross it and continue on

path to Case Piccioni . There take to the right then left after farm.

Continue thru vineyards to main road on hamlet Campana di Ferro .

Turn right then left toward Rovescala where we get thru Via dante (km 6 ).

Cross the road and continue on Via del Palazzo ( churh on the right ) . take first street on left , at the

fork take to right till Strada Scazzolino . Turn right , keeping electricity pole on left ,then right at

first fork and left on second till main road SP43 . Turn left then after a few metres right on path

,going streaight into Montu Beccaria ,turn right then,on paved road ,go to the town hall (km6).

Turn left on Piazza Vercesi then continue on Via Monte Martini,take right into Via Guastoni till

main road SP134. Turn left in front of cemetery and continue for few kms.

At first group of houses turn left on path between grey and pink houses. Continue on path,pass

little house ,take to right then on larger path take right again , toward buildings with solar roof ,pass

them on left and get to main road Take to the right then ,shortly before roundabout , cross road

and and turn left toward Monte Veneroso.

At fork take to the right and continue toward Canneto Pavese and turn right at panel “ divieto per

camion...” Path turns to paved road and continues into town. Continue on left into Via Sabbione

Back to pharmacy toward Castana , still on main road SP45 ,then follow signs Martinasca/Pulice

on the right .At wooden fence take hairpin turn to the right .A few hundred meters ahead , a path

closed by iron bar would lead you to Monteguzzo accomodation. Itinerary continues straight on .

At fork after Martinasca go straight to hamlet of Colombera and continue.

Cross main road SP198 snd continue on path to houses , after second house on your left turn left

and pass house with swimming pool on your left and turn riht thru the vineyards .

Keep as reference Cicognola bell tower in front ,at first fork after little house turn right and follow

path to another house then clim to village. Follow signs to 'belvedere' till Via Roma , in front of the

castle take to the right in Strada del Pozzetto (km 6).

On this road take third path on your left before getting to Montebello. Follow the path to enter

Vicomune thru Via dei Fiori. Straight at first fork then left at second into Via Giorgi passing in

front of little church. Road becomes unpaved ,continue straight then turn right on first path to

hamlet of Pecorara . There turn right ,continue on right at firs fork. At next fork take the downhill

path to right and continue to SP47 ,take left and continue to panel Redavalle (km 6).

Left on Via Roma and then right in Via Marconi , right at first fork on Via Vittorio Veneto ,then at

the end left into Via San Carlo.

At the end turn left ,just after Via Larga , in front of yellow house . Follow path and take right at

first fork to get to agroup of houses . Cross paved road and take small path keeping mail box on

your left. Immediately after house take small path into vineyards .Paths get wider and take to left

toward a farm , where you will turn right toward the hamllet of Castello.

Keep straight at fork then left a few hundred meters after. Continue on main road (Via Strada

Nuova at first then becomes Via Castello .

At crossroads continue straight till Monteceresino. Pass houses and turn left ( opposite direction to

Santa Giulietta ) toward Castelletto and continue straight to main road Via Emilia (km 6).

Left till roundabout ,continue straight to panel Corvino San Quirico/ Oliva Gessi ,turn eft and

continue on first right Piazza de Amicis.

Continue on Via Don Orione ,cross Via Cascina and keep straight following curbe on left on

Strada della Rivetta . Pass Strada per Mazzolino and turn left at yellow house and continue to

Canova and Mairano . Keep left into Via Bernini passing in front of the church.

Continue straight till panel Casteggio , right in Via delle Mollie then right again on Via Teresio

Bernini . At fork with peach-color house in front take left uphill on Via Mombrione ,then Via

stairways on the right onto Strada Narbusto Inferiore , cross road and take Via Torlaschi , at fork

take left on Via Riazzolo and continue , across vineyards to Via Batini.

Continue straight , then at fork with Strada Noci take Via Sgarbina , then at fork with Strada

Vicinale keep to the right and continue , passing the hamlet , till a small shed on left and turn left

onto Via Castelfelice .

Continue on this road ,pass the hairpins then at the water tower take path on the right.

Take then a path among the trees on the right ( km 4 ) , at the vineyards take to the right and

continue straight after a crossing ,keeping trees on left and vineyard on right ,till a little stream.

Turn left on the enbankment ,then cross the bridge on your right . Turn left on main road SP203

and turn right at traffic light. At fork keep right on Via Osteria to the end (accomodation of

Torrazzetta on your right , km 3 ) .

Continue straight , after hairpins we are in Via Marconi and will continue following indications to

Torrazza Coste. There follow Via Roma to roundabout , there turn right toward Voghera then ,at

first fork ,take left to Castellaro. At next roundabout go straight , with football field on your left.

At fork after village ,go to the right toward Pontasso/ Buffalora.

After a few hundred metres turn right on path and continue straight ,then turn left following the

electric lines . On road ,turn right to village of Codevilla (km 7). Straight onto Via Brambilla , Via

Umberto I , Via Negrotto Cambiaso then turn right into Via Raimondo Villa till Torrevilla .

Pas the parking on right and take the greenway on your right toward Voghera .

Continue till crossing Strada Pragassa ,turn left and follow to Villa delle Rose , at the end

VOGHERA – TORTONA (KM 31 )

Continue on Strada Agrippina , then right on Strada Ca Bianca ,immediately left then right onto the

pedestrian walkway over the river . Then left and right into Via Garibaldi all the way to the Duomo

( km 3 ). Past the Duomo ,turn left in Via Cavour , Viale Repubblica then Strada Bobbio.

After a few hundred metres turn right on Via Casalnoceto . After a few km it will turn to gravel ,

keep straight , at next fork take right to go back to paved road . At next fork turn left and continue

to village thru Via Giovanni XXIII ( km 8).

Continue on Via Massa Saluzzo ,left on main road SP103 toward Volpedo. Continue for a few km

toward Santuario della Fogliata . There take downhill path after the cross and continue passing the

cemetery and entering the town in Via Volpedo, tale left at fork then right following indications

Pieve Romanica/ Tortona . After the church turn left and continue on Via Cavour to Piazza

Liberta' (km 4) ,turn left on Via della Chiesa and straight into Via Isonzo.

Left on Via Lungocurone ,cross bridge on right , left at traffic light then right on path a few metres

after the Banca Regionale Europea ( path CAI 101 ).

Continue uphill on path and road SP107 ,then hairpin on right toward village of Monleale Alto.

Turn left on Via XXV Aprile toward Montemarzino. At fork keep right ,then left on path thru

vineyards ( path CAI 152 ) . At the end of descent take left at fork uphill toward Magostino.

At the end of climb follow yellow arrows on right ,cross the hamlet then at fork take the right

downhill ,then uphill we go to the town hall ( accomodation on right ,km 4 ).

Continue straight ,at fork before the church take downhill right to village of San Ruffino, straight on

path cutting hairpin ,back on road and cross bridge , then at fork take to the right following

indications to Sarezzano ( km 4). Continue straight on Via San Ruffino ,first fork on right then after

houses left on path. Continue on path to Via San Michele ,take stairway in front and then right on

Via Marconi to the end .

At fork turn left then right in Via Albarella , cross SP125 then take path on left. After third house on

right take path between first two trees . At fork take right under trees till tennis courts on left.

Back on road , turn right and continue to Vho di Tortona ( km 5).

Continue on Via Rosta , left on Via Vicinale then Right on Via Maestra and Via Comunale per Vho .

At roundabout left on Corso Coppi ,then right on Via Levante Castello . At fork with Via Milite

Ignoto take to the right then , after curbe on left ,take stairways to Via Baluardo .

Turn left after church of Santa Maria Canale ,then right on Via Pellizzari till the Duomo ( km 4 ).

Turn left till , then continue on Via Selva , then left on Via Guacciorna , then continue on paved

road to a wooden fence . Continue with fence on your left till Tenuta il Ritiro .

There turn left ,continue for few km then turn left on main road SP 139 following indications to

Giusulana . There ,at first fork go left and continue till panel S. Agata Fossili and ,in front of

number 34 , take little road on left .

Continue till reaching main road SP141 then left to Cuquello and then Sardigliano (km 11 ).

Continue left on Viale della Vittoria (indications autostrada ) ,continue on Via Largo Montaldo .

Take the underpass and bridge immediately after. At the end of bridge take opening in the walls to

First right then left into Via Pernigotti , right in Via Berthoud and continue toward Golf Club.

Continue on this road till the little church (km 5 ) and left at first fork and follow main path

There turn left and continue downhill to the Convent of Nostra Signora delle Grazie .

Turn right ,pass in front of Gavi cemetery and continue till the village ( km 7 ).

From Piazza Repubblica turn left in Via Gavi . A few meters after stop sign turn right , pass the

bridge and continue till end of uphill ,then , on unpaved road , go down and pass the river.

Turn right and follow the river till the climb and continue on this unpaved road for about 6 kms ,

roughly half uphill and half downhill.( many paths around,s better have gps tracks ).

Will be back again on pavement in Val Morsone , turn left and continue to Voltaggio (km 8).

From Via ValMorsone turn right into Via Barabino , then at stop sign after parking , turn right going

uphill to center of town (church,bank and townhall ,visit recommended).

Turn left in Via Ruzza , then after curbe on left take arch on the right and descend to Roman

Bridge ,cross it and continue , at stop sign turn right then first to the left.

Continue on this road ( Via Carbonasca ) for two kms , at fork with bridge take right and continue

uphill for about 5 km then downhill for 2 kms ,cross the main road and continue straight on to

hamlet of Chiappa end Castagnola ( km 10 ).

At left hairpin , aim at the bell tower taking small path to the left before hairpin , pass the town

large flat unpaved road ,turn right and ,at next fork we take to the left and continue to the top where

we find signs of Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and continue straight on.

We are at Passo dell Bocchetta ,at fork take to right downhill to main road SP5 ,turn left and

continue to village of Pietralavezzara ( km 10).

Past church on left and hut on right , we turn right before number 45 (steps along path ) .

Continue downhill toward Isoverde , after group of abandoned houses at fork take uphill right then

left aiming at bell tower . From church continue on Via Ennio del Monte then left ,pass the

pharmacy and continue on road SP6 for about 1 km.

Past the hairpin , turn right after aedicule onto bridge on Via Alla Caffarella ( accomodation at

number 20 ( km 5 ). Then left downhill on Via Montagnola till main road SP4 .

Turn left then first on right toward Gaiazza . Continue on Via Gaiazza (SP 51) for about 1 km .

At a cross turn left on Via Nostra Signora dall' Orto and , at next fork , take to left ( NOT towward

the church and Agriturism) . Continue on this road toward Campo di Tiro for about 3 kms.

At the river Polcevera turn right then left on the bridge . Right at first fork ,then right again in front

of pharmacy.

We are in Pontedecimo .Turn right and continue on Via Beata Chiara on the right to get to San

Giacomo Maggiore church ( km 7).

PONTEDECIMO – GENOVA (KM 18 )

From the S. Giacomo church take Via Guido Poli then Via Lungo Polcevera for about 2 kms.

After bridge on your right straight on to underpass then Via San Quirico passing over the bridge ,

take stairways on the right then , on Via Bruzzo , continue straight along the enbankment.

At bridge Luigi Ratto continue a few hundred metres and turn left. Take stairways in front and and

the rail overpass ,straight on then right on Via Pasquale Pastorino .

At fork with Via Bolzaneto follow signs to Nostra Signora Della Neve , then left into small alley (

toward Supermarket ) ( Km 5 ).

Continue straight , toward motorway overpass , continue with houses on your right till underpass on

Via Salita Brasile . Left onto the underpass ,then Via Geminiano .

Turn right on bridge then ,at the fork , left till number 16 then take stairways on left back to main

road . Continue straight then at second hairpin aim toward church of San Geminiano .

There take path on right and continue till Via San Lorenzo di Casanova after about 1,5 km .

There turn right and after road on right take small path on left (km 3 ) leading us to the Forts.

About 7 kms to Forte Puin then Forte Sperone and Forte Begato.

Path goes downhill to church of Santa Maria di Granarolo . The descent to Genova continues thru

Salita Granarolo , Salita San Rocco then stairways to Principe. Here we can go east to visit the

center of old town or rather west to Via della Costa going along the coast to France .

But don't forget to proceed to KM 0 marking , starting point of ancient roman Via Postumia , in

Piazza San Giorgio ( Km 10 )

What to see

Genova San Lorenzo Cathedral , Basilica della Santissima , Cimitero Monumentale di Staglieno ,

la Lanterna ( light tower ) , the center of the old town to Piazza San Giorgio.
