BEGINS SUNDAY, JANUARY 21

It’s time to get to the heart of what it means to please God. In this series about the core principles of faith, Dr. Robert Jeffress

will share the truth about what God really wants from you – and what He wants to do for you.

This Sunday morning, January 7, is the first Sunday of the new year. We will be looking at Elijah’s final secret for living a significant and successful life: “Living With The End In Mind.” Successful and significant people realize how brief their time on Earth is and use that time wisely. I hope you’ll be with us this Sunday morning for this encouraging message.

This coming Sunday evening, we begin our new semester of Discipleship University. Sunday morning you can see displays for all of the attractive class offerings beginning Sunday evening at 5:30pm.

Beginning Sunday, January 21, I will be preaching a new series, 7 Marks of a Disciple. In this series, we will discover what it really means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and the process by which we can live a transformed life now. I hope you’ll plan to be with us for each of these very practical messages.

This year will mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of First Baptist Church, Dallas. Most churches never survive this long, much less continue to thrive as our church does. On Sunday, July 29, we are planning a huge, 150th birthday party for our church and we want you to be there! We will be celebrating God’s incomparable blessings on our congregation during the past one and a half centuries. We will also look to the future and dream about how God might continue to use our congregation to glorify Himself. I believe with all of my heart the reason God has so graciously blessed our congregation is because we are a church truly built on the Bible. Please mark your calendars right now for July 29, 2018, for the 150th birthday party for First Baptist Dallas!

I want to thank each of you who served faithfully, gave generously, and prayed diligently for our church in this past year. The year 2017 was an unforgettable year for our congregation. However, I’m convinced that 2018 will be an even greater year of ministry as we recommit ourselves to “transform our world with God’s Word…one life at a time.”

I look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday for the first Sunday of a tremendous, new year!
