Acknowledgements: Users can now set 'General Acknowledgements' on forms that Users must check off prior to finalizing a WebForm without running validation rules. Navigate to Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements and add any process items that a User should first acknowledge before continuing.

Users can now see ALL File Attachments associated with a Student in one place and which Forms have attachments. Users may access the attachment without having to leave the section or open each IEP form to find the attachment.

If your Users have created any Personal Template Reports with regard to Statements, they may edit them using these additional parameters. For example, a User may have a Statement Report created 'by building' for State Assessments. That User may now add a sort 'by Grade' to this Report.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE: Depending on the large number of Statement records this report may access if unfiltered, it may take too much time to run or may return a time-out error message before rendering to PDF. If this is the case, Users must narrow their selection parameters to cause fewer records to be chosen for a single run. The report will need to be run multiple times with appropriate filtering parameters in order to obtain all of the desired data.

At one client site, the example shown above returned over ten-thousand Statement records for a single year and eventually returned an error message - at another client, the same setup of the report ran to a successful conclusion because it returned far fewer records in a single run of the report.

Standard Users must acknowledge that they have performed these procedures before Finalization can occur. The NYS developed IEP form, for use with Preschool and School-Aged Students with Disabilities, has been implemented in IEPplus. This form has been completely revamped to match NYSED's format.

•

PLEASE NOTE: Insure that all your current IEP's are locked and finalized prior to receiving this update. Any unlocked form will now be displayed in the new format! Some sections (for example the Declassification section) are no longer present on the new form.

The form is now in Landscape vs. the original Portrait style. -

Verbiage has been changed.-

Sections have been moved, deleted or added.-

Changes:

There is now a single IEP for School-Aged and Preschool Students. Student Address, Meeting Information, Meeting Notes, Referral Information, Transcript Information for Secondary Students Only, and Declassification Sections have been removed from the IEP.

Now broken into additional Text Boxes (Strengths, Needs). The previous version had a single Text Box per Section.

A new Text Box has been added named "Effect on General Ed. Curriculum".○

A new Special Factors area has been added○

The ability to create an LEP Release/Waiver record has been added making it easier to report on LEP.

Choices for LEP are now "Yes", "No" and "N/A".○

Present Levels of Performance and Individual Needs: -

Education/Training Goals have been combined into a single Text Box. The ability to continue adding goals from your existing Goalbook has been maintained.

A new Text Box has been added called "Transition Needs". ○

Post-Secondary Goals:-

Verbiage for Attachments has changed. The most obvious is the change of the prompt "Procedures to Evaluate Goal" to "Method".

PLEASE NOTE: If a Goalbook is used to create the Attachments, you will have to add Statements to the Goalbook with a Category of "Method" in order for them to show up as selections. Alternately may change the existing Statements with a Category of "Procedures" to "Method".

IEP Creation & IEP Revision Processes: When these processes create new Service or Course records based on existing Service or Course records, these processes will now only create such records if the record descriptions are active in their respective code tables.

•

For example, if a previous Service existed named "Physical Therapy Services" and a User has gone into the Service Codes table and inactivated this Service description's record then, when an IEP is created or revised, this Service will NOT be created in the new IEP.
