Starting in January 2015, ALL new bids on CDOT Construction Projects must have a Cer- tified Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor (TECS). Your previous ECS certification will not be valid. The TECS certification has been implemented to improve understanding and execution of stormwater protection practices and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. The TECS is the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) Administrator on CDOT projects and is required to understand all aspects of erosion and sediment control on site. The TECS must be certified by CDOT.
