The event is an opportunity for the Communication Department of SUNY Buffalo State. There will be 5-10 professionals from the Communications field around Western New York in attendance. The professionals will be stationed around a room where students are encouraged to approach them with questions related to their field of study and strike up a conversation. The event tagline description is: “Come see some of Buffalo’s finest Communication practitioners for an intimate evening of discussion.” The president of the PRSSA, Bry Gwitt commented on the event, saying “This event is bigger than ever! It’s such a good opportunity for the entire Communication Department and the public at large. We have professionals from journalism, PR, and multimedia backgrounds. Come on down and bring your friends.The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday October 22 at Bulger Communication Center 0North on the SUNY Buffalo State campus. The event is free of charge and students are encouraged to bring their resumes and business cards. Dress is business casual, and the event will be catered by Wegmans. This particular networking event is different because usually the bi-annual networking event is for Public Relations students only.
